I just spoke to my nutritionist yesterday about gum and she told me that sugar free gum is perfectly fine. I am 3 months post op so I am not sure at what point they say it is ok, but she said it is fine.
I am 3 months out and have just started using a straw. My nut said after 1 month it is fine to use a straw but I still waited a little longer. Soda is a big no no from my nut. I also was addicted to my diet soda before surgery and I know if I try it I would just be going down a bad path of drinking it a lot again so I do not want to know if I could handle it or not.
Congrats to everyone! I had my sleeve done on July 19th. I am about 2 months out now. I started at 441 and and currently at 374. This is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have to keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end.
I am new to this board. Lots of very encouraging stories on this one. I just got sleeved on 7/19. I am doing pretty good. I am almost down below the 400 mark for the first time in a long time. Looking forward to continuing down this journey and I just want to thank all of you who have shared your stories. It is very inspiring to see what I have to look forward to from people who were as big as me. Keep up the great work everyone!!!
I am also late to this board. I had my sleeve done on July 19th as well. Doing pretty good. I am definitely ready to start with adding some meat into my diet tomorrow. I get to have tuna with light mayo and chicken and turkey added to my diet. Keep up the great work everyone. This is a hard journey but will be well worth it in the end!
