  2. So that's what's happenin'.... I was wondering and blaming the plant out front my house - somebody once called it B**h?
  3. Don't let a "Board with a wart" ruin your day! The "Little etti bitti titti comittee" was just jealous.
  4. Diane, don't you go and make your live miserable now. It is your live and absolutely your choise with what and where you do what to your body- your husband supports you that is all that matters. In no way do you have to appologize to your in laws- they are extremely rude to think you have to ask their permission on how to run your live or make your choises about your health- who do they think they are? :angry And as for your kids- they will miss their grandparents thats true- but they will not miss the way your IL are treating their mother. Do not ever feel guilty for having made the choice on going to Mexico - you are doing great - be proud of yourself. For in the future- handle things on a "Need to know" basis - and your IL do NOT NEED TO KNOW! Just my 5 cents.
  5. Sleep well- you are going to be in band land before you know it! :clap2:
  6. I have the capsules of Gas Ex and I just poke a hole in one and take the liquid out- doesn't taste bad and works much faster! But don't try that with the Colace Stool softerners. I had to spit for 2 hours and could not get that nasty taste out of my mouth and throat. :faint:
  7. Penni60 - you crack me up! :faint: lololol

  16. :welcomeB: :welcome2: :welcomeB: Halloechen Sigrid- schoen das du zu uns gefunden hast - wo in Deutschland bist du denn? Hi Sigrid - nice that you found our forum- from where in germany are you? Are you also on the german magenband forum? Where in germany did you get your band? Did you insurance pay for it or did they make you jump through hoops as so many tell on the german forum? Ich werde mein magenband am Dienstag bekommen und bin im moment in der "Nur fluessiges" phase. Hope to hear more from you - Willkommen! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  17. Hello, just my 5 cents. I'm not banded yet- but will be in 1 1/2 days - yeeepeee; when I went to my surgeons first visit, the point that he really stressed was to start taking Protein as long before the surgery as we can - most times we are on the low site of that anyway - but his theory is to build up the protein level in the body before surgery as well as we can. This will help after surgery as our body already had time to do some "repair" before we really needed it. Sounded got enough to me - I have been on a protein smoothy every day since the end of January and I think (?) I'm feeling better. (Maybe it's just in my head  -ahem ... stomach) lol
  18. Way to go letha_g!

  22. Hello everybody; I'm not sure if I have seen a thread on this or not- but i still have to ask: Of all you bandsters out there that have lost sooooo muuuuuch weight- did your shoe size go down too? I would so love to get out of my size 12's . lol :faint:
  23. Oh - I forgot - who is the new one in Thornton (?)- I wouldn't go there as I don't want to be the first...lol ... just wondering
  24. Yes, he does it as outpatient surgery at Rose Medical Center. Everything is streamlined- no unneccessary waiting if you can get your things together before you go and see him. I started last year on December 15th with going to one of his seminars and getting info there. (I had researched the band on my own for about 1/2 year). Called to get an appointment with him in January and went ahead and scheduled the psych and pulmonary exam before I saw him. You will get all the information in a package that you get at the seminar. Also made an appointment with my PCP and Kim the nutritionist (who herself had gastric bypass done by him a few years back) . Saw him the end of January, they put in my paperwork to the insurance- got OKyed and got my surgery date. All together not even 3 months- I ask- what more can I want? Any more questions- don't hesitate to ask.
