Denver surgeons?

Anyone know anything about any surgeons in Denver? I had a consult with Dr. Kirshenbaum and really liked him. Has anyone used him or know anyone that has?

Thanks!

Try Dr. Johnell in Greeley. It's a bit of a drive, but it's where I get my fills done. I love his PA, Paula. She's never missed hitting my port! SHe is very conservative on fills, which can be frustrating.

The name of Dr. Johnell's clinic is NCMC Specialty.

Good luck

Hi Kim,

do you go to a support group in Denver or in the Thornton/ Northglenn area?

I'm trying to get everything lined up for my first MD visit but would like to talk to a few bandsters one on one.

Thanks for your help,

 Carola

I was just banded 2/2/2006 in Columbus, Ohio and will be relocating to Denver in late March. If anyone could help with directing me to a fill doctor and or support groups I would appreciate it.:help:

Looking forward to moving and losing west!:)

I'm interested in Dr. Kirshenbaum, too. I will likely end up being self-pay and he has a fair price. Unfortunately, I can't find ANYTHING on the guy other than his webiste and some stuff about him do laser hemmerhoid removal.

I know of Dr Kirshenbaum very well, he is one of the best surgeons around, however, he is not experienced with LAPBAND, has not done any when I called his office last year, he is a friend of the family and I ended up going with Dr Snyder, he's awesome.

Beth-

you are a god sent- Dr. Snyder is going to do my surgery too! :clap2:

Where here in Denver are you? Can we ge together sometime?

Awesome - I'm so glad you know him too! When were you banded? How are you doing? ASO, ASO.....Please get in contact with me!

I also used Dr. Snyder in Denver. He is wonderful! Check out his website:

www.denverbariatrics.com

I was banded on Feb. 6 and am down 23 pounds. He is also very experienced and the staff are great!

Happy Thursday Michmouse;

guess what- my surgery date is Tuesday March 7th- next week.

Wow to you awesome weightloss already - I'm soooo jelous.- but in a few weeks I will be there too.:clap2: :clap2:

Here's wishing you all the best on your surgery, recovery and wonderful weight loss! You are in good hands and I am sure everything will be great! Keep in touch with your progress!

:biggrin1:

FYI... when I met with Dr Kirshenbaum in January he told me he had done 8 bands so far.

Happy Friday!

DrewsLou, 8 bands are not really that many!?

I would b every hesitant to go there - I know Dr. Snyder said he had done about 350 the last years. Much better ratio - and sofar very good statistics- no problems with bands eroding or slipping or other complications. One of his patient did not so good- but that was not band related!

He's awesome - he always goes like the energizer bunny- if you could bottle his energy my gosh.....

But he will take the time to explain everything to you - even 2 or three times just to clarify it. He is also very thorough. You will like him- go meet him at one of his free seminars- there are always uddels of former patients there and at the end you can talk to everybody and ask questions- some of his staff is there too - for insurance questions or nutrition or just everything- my DH and I were impressed!

Good luck to you - I will keep you informed.
