I can't wait for my boob job!! I was a 34D until I was 30 or so, and then as I put on weight, had kids, etc, they became ginormous. I'm down to a 36DD so far, with 16lbs to go until goal. I would love to be a perky full C or small D.
Even without WLS, I would have wanted my boobs done. Pretty much everyone in my social circle has had a lift or BA by age 40, so I need to catch up! LOL!!

I had pretty big boobs for my frame all my life. I popped out one kid, and I didn’t even breastfeed (I pumped for 4 weeks only). And it wreaked havoc on the state of my boobs. I had a breast reduction a year or so later, and they were good for a while (still big enough, but at least not droopy any more...i was wearing a 34C for a while after the reduction).
Then I gained alot of weight the the next 10+ years and got up to a 40DD/DDD.
Losing the weight deflated them, and re-droopified them. Not as droppy as after the kid, but enough to make me want the breast lift.
Age, number of times there was weight gain& loss, speed of weight gain/loss, genes, and overall amount of fat lost will determine the sagginess of your boobs in the end. While muscle training may increase the size of the pectoral mucsles behind your boobs and give your chest a bit of lift, no amount if exercise will fill the sacs of deflated boobs. That’s just science.
Depending on how much it bothers you, you can still easily look fabulous with a really good bra, no matter what the state you boobs are in.
    Good Luck ! ❤️

I really want a lift, but I'm not keen on implants. I'd rather be way smaller and not have to stuff them into my bra.

I’m getting a lift + implants in January. I went from a 42DDD to now barely filling a 36D. My implants will be smallish, just enough to fill back out my cups. I want them perky & full :)

I lost nearly all the volume in my breasts. They were flat and deflated, but not necessarily droopy. I chose to get implants, and I'm very very pleased with them 😍

You have so much to look forward to!!! 50 pounds! Wow. Congratulations... well on your way. So very excited for you. Don't hesitate to share your milestones with us. We've celebrated and watched one another drop clothing sizes into our final goals. Fun! i.e. 3X shorts into these size 4 washed blue jeans + XS leather jacket in 1 year and 8 months.

My husband and I need a break from each other. We went to visit my Dad and didn’t realize we were dressed like twins until later that day.

I’m going to preface this with- totally worth it, would do it again in a heartbeat.
That being said, I vomited for several hours after surgery that I remember. I tend to be really sensitive to anesthesia. My biggest issue once home was having a bowel movement but some magnesium citrate took care of that. I didn’t have much pain at all and wasn’t really ever hungry either. I did have some issues with certain foods after like room temp Water was an issue for a long time. However, I did develop a love of Protein pretzels and other crunchy Snacks.
In 3 1/2 months (mid December [264] to March [230]) I lost 34lbs making for a total of 95 including presurgery. I didn’t go back to work for 9 weeks but that’s because I also had knee surgery doing to same leave period.
After mid March I didn’t haven’t lost much else (currently 218) but I attribute that to developing a new hiatal hernia, severe GERD, intractable hiccups and esophagitis causing a ton of inflammation. I’m having surgery to correct them on the 11th.
Like I said though, would do it again in a heartbeat even with the hiccups (literal and figurative) along the way.

There are many on here who have reached and maintain a healthy BMI. But if you get to an overweight BMI, wouldn't that still be a big improvement over where you are now? Don't look for ways to sabotage yourself before you even have WLS

yes -- there are people your height who have done it. Regardless of height, though, the average weight loss is around 70% of excess weight. However, that is an average - and with any average, there are people who fall on either side of that. There will be those who lose less - and those who lose more - even some who'll lose 100% of their excess weight. My surgeon said only about 10-15% of his patients make it to a normal BMI, and research appears to back that up, but people do it - you'll find examples of that right here on BP. It'll take a lot of work and commitment, but it's not impossible.

For many people, starving (liquid diet for a week) leads to binging. You had your surgery so recently you don't seem to be aware that restrictions go away for many people after a few years out. Please don't give advice that could be harmful.
I'm not sure why you are posting in the veterans room anyway.

yeah, I had briefly considered it, but my surgeon mentioned it would be the least bang for my buck given the state of my thighs at the time, as well as the fact the said they are notoriously problematic in healing. Though I have seen some great thigh lift results as well...

    You look amazing! Congrats!
I still have a tummy tuck and breast lift on my "plastics - to do" list. I would love it if the TT helped out with my legs too. I'm not bothered enough to get a leg lift because no one actually sees my upper thighs ever.

I reached my "happy weight" about a year post op. Then I gained 50 lbs or so over six months and stayed that weight for a solid year. I figured that was my new "set point" and I basically gave up. However, back in February, I was pretty miserable. I ended up going on a new medication (e.g. antidepressant). The pandemic hit as I was adjusting to the new medication. I don't know if it was the medication or everything going on in the world, but I just felt a new sense of focus to deal with the regain around May (my Birthday). I lost about 20 lbs since May (rewarding myself with an arm lift). I know there's still work to do, but whether or not I lose the rest of the weight, I'm trying to deal with my problems without eating.
To lose my regain, I had to go back to basics. High Protein, tracking calories on my fitness pal, walking every morning and classes at the gym (once it reopened). As wacky as it sounds, the less I eat, the more I feel my restriction again. Don't get me wrong, it's not like the early months following the op, but I feel "full" when I'm eating healthy Proteins. I just need to avoid my trigger food (chocolate and ice cream) which slide down so easily.
My other tip is just about adjusting your mindset - which is very hard to do right now. I'm trying to stay positive. Look on the bright side of life - which is challenging because I'm a pretty anxious, negative person generally and there are a lot of terrible things happening. I just keep thinking about my blessings. And I'm so proud of what I have achieved losing 20 lbs in 2-3 months, I'm lucky enough to still have my job. If I do get COVID, I'm much healthier than I was 3 years ago.
Finally, I really try and keep a healthy routine and avoid the bad habits I fell into. I try and get enough sleep. Drag myself out to exercise. Healthy Breakfast every day. These little routines and rituals seem to help me.
Good luck! I know you can do it.

Thanks, ms.sillykitty! Just scheduled my brachioplasty today for September 24th... So I don't have to limit myself to ¾ or long sleeves or have them lengthened as with this hot pink pouf sleeve. Here is the original sleeve design and intent. I asked surgeon to go below elbow (scars will skin tone in time) so not to have that bulge where inner arm seam stops. I'm excited. I believe the last plastics journey, hopefully.
