  1. Rotisserie chicken might be an option for you, as its quite soft. Do you eat fish? Lots of good options there.
  2. Just get a new PCP.
  3. Yup, good plan! It will end, and it is frustrating. I hope I can handle the next one in a more calm manner.
  4. I left my husband and son on their own for the first month, and they did fine. Many sandwiches! Now, at 6 weeks, I enjoy cooking again.
  5. Looking good! And cute photos :-)
  6. LOL, @JohnnyCakes, she's 5 days out!! Hang in there, focus on getting water in. Everything will get better soon. For me, it was about a month before I had my feet under me.
  7. I agree that journaling is critical to success -- it teaches us how to build balanced food nutrition days. Get a few favorite meas and days under your belt, and it becomes easier. After all, we are creatures of habit!
  8. I am dying to know what you decided to do!
  9. I took 2.5 weeks off (surgery was on a Wednesday), but I should have taken another week. I am 53, and I do think age factors in on this decision.
  10. Everybody survive their first stall? I finally broke free from mine after 10-ish days (I can't quite figure out where to draw the lines!).
  11. He's probably doing what my surgeon does: calculates your excess body weight (EBW) from your highest weight (not your surgery weight) and uses this value to determine the percent lost. Then compares it with national averages of who knows what! I see you are from Maryland -- did you go to AAMC by any chance?
  12. Great accomplishment so far!! ps -- you should update your stats on the left!
  13. I don't even know what a burpee is, but the whole thing sounds crazy to me!
  14. :-) I'm glad you are increasing your calories. I'm at 700/day, 30g carbs now. I fluv the fluffy mask, LOL.
  15. ((hugs)) It is tough, at least for this first one. I finally broke my stall yesterday, so hang in there, it will happen. Hopefully our next stalls will be easier psychologically.
  16. Welcome to the other side!! The first weeks are challenging, but it seems to get easier once you are eating real food again. :-)
  17. I came home 12# heavier than when I went in for surgery. It was gone in about a week.
  18. How do you calculate it -- from starting weight 6 months before surgery, or from surgery day? Just found out my surgeon calculates it from my highest weight since he started seeing me, and my goal weight at 150, which puts me at 40% EBW lost. This led me to wonder how everyone else does it?
  19. I just bought a smattering of new stuff in my next size down!! I am planning to keep my wardrobe LEAN and rely on accessories to carry me through to my goal. Fortunately, I only go into my office 3 days a week. Black pant, white pant, a versatile black dress, and some tee's -- done!
  20. Hi Arabian78. I saw Melissa today and asked about the bougie -- he's using a #40 bougie these days.
  21. I suggest you add a few food sites to your instagram for a regular feed of ideas. I like Whole Sisters, Whole30, nomnompaleo, etc. I also added "my tiny healthy plate"!
  22. VSG is not rocket science. I just picked a local doctor with 2,000 of these surgeries under his belt and went with him.
  23. I picked up a package of caulifower crust pizzas at Costco last weekend. Haven't tried it yet, but you might want to consider trying it, too. Plus, I saw a "pizza" recipe where they used Canadian bacon as the crust, which I thought was interesting. And last but not least, at some point you can consider eating the topping of a pizza, right?
