Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
Ha! Here it is...the non-recipe! I just fill a large tumbler full of ice. I use these amounts to make 2 drinks. Sometimes I sprinkle in cinnamon and add a few drops of liquid stevia (your favorite flavor but I like chocolate, caramel, and vanilla). My favorites protein drink faves with the decaff coffee are either chocolate or bananas and cream PP ready to drink drinks. But there are other shakes out there that are low carb and low sugar/low cal that are ready to drink that work. I also like mixing the shakes with iced tea. Love the strawberries and cream and also the peaches and cream with decaf tea. I make a mixture of decaff green and decaff black tea and make it just like I do the iced coffee. I just take 1/2 a bottle of PP and 6-8oz of decaff plus any spice or sweetener and mix it with lots of ice. Or, I put it in a blender and blend with ice until it's the consistency that I like. It's a non-recipe really. And at the end of the two drinks (which go down very easily for me, I've got my 30g of protein in).

5 years out and trying to reset
Oh my gosh, yes! What @mi75 and @Stella S said! I am only 18months but I know with my personality that "everything in moderation" is a myth. I also have a larger capacity tool, so the myth of restriction/malabsorption isn't going to be a huge help going forward. So I just have to have a game plan and weigh, measure and log my foods daily to make sure I'm staying honest with myself. (Good and bad days.) It's a little terrifying to think of doing that forever. So I only try to focus on today. Tomorrow I'll worry about that later...

Wow! Amazing and inspiring B/A's girlie! What a complete change!!! Huge proppahs for your hard work and determination!

Blahhh STOPPED!
Yep. The myth of restriction and/or malabsorption strikes again. Sorry you are struggling. As the tool matures, you WILL be able to eat more volume, so you have to really have a good plan on how to fill it up without consuming too many macros or calories to stop your weight loss. You have to go back to your plan's basics and to what worked for you when you were losing. You should look at weighing and measuring and logging everything to see how much you are getting and to know where and how to adjust. Congrats on losing 147lbs!!! That's awesome! Also you're close to your goal so weight loss gets hard and very slow at that point!!

Two weeks Post Op - Losing My Mind
Man! I had crazy thoughts too! This is kinda the time frame that it happens. ((hugs)) I would get flash hangry for no reason. I'd be laughing then poof! Depression city! It's exactly how @mousecat88 explained it. I swear it passes. Hold on. Drink lots of fluids, walk, watch comedies, explain to your kids what's happening. Make sure you drink your fluids (protein drinks) on a regular basis. And yeah, see if you can get hold of a bariatric counselor to talk through this stuff and help you with some emotional toolkits!! Hang in there.

?AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE?
Girlfriend. Did your doctor tell you it was ok to spin at 2 days out from surgery? That's hellah different (even pedalling slow) from walking. Also, don't do yoga yet either! That takes engaging your core muscles and it's way too soon for that. You could very easily get a leak from popping your staple line. You really need to just walk...

Backsliding... What do I do?
Glad to hear it. Just when you referenced my specific range, I wanted to be sure to represent--hard not to think you were discussing my comment. (And fyi, as someone 18months out who has a capacity of a very mature tool (10-12oz by VOLUME), I also have to address choices in how I fill the tool. Cuz I can do a lot of damage with 10-12oz of volume at each meal. I also have a pretty large stoma, so food goes down quicker and I could conceivably eat much sooner than someone who retains their food in the tool after a meal.)

Backsliding... What do I do?
That's why I said this... Everyone's mileage may vary. But I think everyone would agree, I pack a crap ton of very dense nutrition and food volume into that 650-850 cals! No one would go hungry and few would feel "restricted" when eating my food. It tastes pretty satisfying even though I intentionally keep it low reward (no calorie dense casseroles or ethnic cuisine).

Weight-loss funnies
- Let's Track Our Miles!
Why not today? Even 5 minutes is something and we can all walk! Even if it's a step. And if you can't walk, then do some THING for 5 minutes. Wave your arms in your chair. Do deep breathing exercises for a minutes. Raise your eyebrows for a minute. Just do something to move some part of you!- Post-op two week liquid diet!
Follow his plan!! It will be over soon. Really REALLY focus on visualizing yourself thin and that food is meaningless. Then drink as much water as makes you full per your plan. Every time you are hungry, hit the water. The hydration will help you heal hon. It really does fly by. Today is 18 months for me and it feels like yesterday.- Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
OK, no more dic*in' around with BDG goal! I'm doing this thang!!! I've been dinking around with the same 5 lbs for what seems like forever!!! I was supposed to have reached Goal 3 (130lbs) already and instead? I'm still mired in the moment--in the "feel good", "just be gentle with yourself" dic*ass mode! I've lost sight of my big picture and I'm not gonna tolerate it any longer! Yesterday was my 18month surgiversary and I weighed in at 135.4lbs. This morning I'm at 135.2lbs even though I know I've got at least a pound of poopy cued for exit thanks to MOM. (Edited to report, I weigh 134.8lbs PP ) Tomorrow is my surgeon visit to follow up on the hernia repair and also for my 18 month check up and I wanted to be at Goal #3. Instead I'm a whiny bi*ch ass 5lbs up from there. So I raised the visual stakes and I'm gonna try to move some dollah dollah bills baby! This is ten ones and each pound I lose will go in the LOST jar! I will succeed in this. I just have to change up the tactics. Today I'm going for an 18:6 and will do a DD (500 cals and 60g protein).- central venous catheter before vsg
I've had 3 breast and recon surgeries + 2 tummy surgeries + hysterectomy. I'm unlucky or my hospital has a different protocal, cuz I had that special soap I used the night before and morning of..so weird. Great info on the central line! Thanks. I was stuck a total of 14 times to get an iv placed for my RNY. I know that from the bruise/puncture sites cuz for the last 8 I was out like a light.- What fruit can you and can’t you eat?
I honestly don't think that's a life-long thing--it's only in the early days of healing.- candy barrrrsss *super trooper voice*
So wild! I'm still thinking it's the sugar alcohols though? Maybe the cottage cheese and yogurts use different sweeteners? That's just terrible though. Gah, I hate that feeling!- Let's Track Our Miles!
Ok, I'll start it out! Monday - 2.2mi Tuesday - 3.7mi Total from previous days = 5.9mi Current Day = 2.7mi current + 5.9mi = 8.6mi this week- Let's Track Our Miles!
Ok, I thought it would be fun to put a daily thread in about keeping track of how many miles we walk or run each day/week. It's an informal account. Just take your previous total and add to it as often as you want! It would be fun to keep track each day! I will go back to Monday (the start of the week for me) and add figures. You can do it in either steps or miles/kms. Let's get physical, y'all!- Post-op two week liquid diet!
Your doctor doesn't allow thinned down lump free yogurt? It's the same texture as frozen protein ice cream...call and ask. - Let's Track Our Miles!
