  1. Average expected weight loss post surgery is 2-4lbs per week. I know it FEELS like you are losing slowly, but you are averaging 14lbs/mo and there are 4.33 weeks in a month: you actually at about the 75% percentile which is really really lovely! Not trying to denegrate your perception. Cuz perception is real. But WE control our thoughts which then control our emotions. And my knowing that in reality you AREN'T a slow loser, would allow you to feel and understand the great progress you are making? I shared your angst too...
  2. ((hugs)) How much have you lost total since surgery, how tall are you and what is your goal/build like? Hang in there. Work the plan. Try not to compare it's the thief of joy. ((hugs)) Here's my last year's average loss. (I'm also here to support you guys!)
  3. I'm working on it. But I have several strikes against me. Don't want to jack AJ's thread. But at least I'm maintaining on an average of 1100 now rather than 900. So it is hopefully improving!
  4. Yep. That's my surgeon's office too. They follow for 5 years and most stop checkups at about 2 years...
  5. Congrats on your amazing success! You should feel so proud! I'm more curious about why you feel it's ok to stop in Obese mode after going to the extremes you've gone to during WLM? You've been very gung ho about sticking to mostly liquids and keeping cals at the 500/daily level. And you are clearly still losing well...so why stop at 30BMI in the obese range? I take this from 2 sources: Rush.edu (a very noteworthy Chicago institution) and from Cancer.org. I know BMI charts aren't totes accurate but they are within pounds of accuracy unless you are Andre the Giant...not football fields of accuracy such as 45-50lbs... In my observation, people who are not yet at true goal and who start upping cals to stop weight loss rarely end up reaching a normal weight and then tend to regain. Let your body tell you where normal is for your 6'3" frame. You will know cuz weight loss will taper off to a very slow downward trend line. When that happens you decide is that maintenance for you or do you want more off...
  6. Rainy Day and Big Ass Greek Salad. I will eat the rest as a snack later.

  10. Me3!!! Color me IF/ADF/EF and I have PP in my coffee over about a 3 hour or so period. #working #barihealthylife! Congrats to you girlie!!!! Are you still in WLM or are you now in maintenance? I'll be honest, a 20:4 schedule is hard for me to follow to get my protein in.

  12. I'm 22 months out from RNY (Feb 20, 2018). I walk 60min/day and slow jog. I am making a commitment to do core strengthening 3 days per week. I also still identify as a WLS patient and always will because it DOES keep me honest and keeps me focused on living a healthier life that continues to grow and evolve. I am a daily weigher. And this morning was 130.4lbs. Lowest weight was yesterday and was 129.4lbs. I maintain in a range of 130-135lbs. Oh an 8 years, late stage cancer remission continues. Check up in 2 months.

It's supposed to be drapey and romantic looking? It's super sheer. So I need something else? I was hoping to wear my pearls. I got the necklace from Dad at 16 and could never fit it around my neck twice. Until now. Ha!

  22. Gosh sorry for your troubles! ((hugs)) Did you talk to your doc about the bloating? I know for me to lose at 57, I have to be at 650-850cals. I maintain at an average of 1000-1100/daily. I also have to exercise daily (walk) and be very very careful about what kind of food I eat.
