  1. It’s definitely tough but you can do it! There is so much variation among practices and even case by case. I was given clearance to eat/drink at the same time after I asked for a definitive answer. For my specific circumstance it was ok because I had a stricture dilated (after VSG to RNY revision) and my anastomosis wasn’t going to stretch any further than they forced it during the procedure. I was told that the concern is sleeve/pouch stretching earlier than it would take to naturally relax.
  2. As much as I love our dear Captain , I love milk in my tea more ?
  3. My son’s girlfriend worked at Starbucks so he developed a coffee addiction (really frappacinos). When he had to pay for drinks and realized the price, he began to rethink his life choices. I could literally see the clockwork turning ?
  4. I totally agree! Starbucks used to be a workspace for me, but since the pandemic happened and most dine in options were closed, I just make my own drinks and have really adjusted to not paying $6 for a cup of tea.
  5. Thanks for this info! The only thing I ever get from Starbucks these days is an Earl Grey with half & half and sugar free vanilla. I refuse to ask for a London fog because there’s an up charge. Tazo makes the closest sugar free chai concentration that I could find.

You look great! I can’t see the details on the jacket but does the waist adjust with a cord and toggle stoppers?
  7. I think you should do it! ❤️
  8. I never want to give up dessert
  9. Oh no! Well if it’s any consolation I’m trying to regrow my lettuce from the stalk. If it works (and is fairly easy) I’ll let you know if that may be an option.
  10. Slightly curried chicken salad wrap. This was two meals worth of food but the log shows the total for all of it. I used to eat lettuce wraps constantly because I like them and I couldn’t find good low carb substitutes. For me this what returning to basics would look like (not going back to a liquid diet). What does everyone’s “back to basics” include/remove?
  11. Kimchi is so good. For reference, I would liken it to a Korean version of sauerkraut with way more spice. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimchi
  12. You’re so good at it. I really hoped (at some point) we would have a cost analysis of the Bariatric lifestyles to show that food waste isn’t that significant and saving money in one area can free it up for other things (and maybe make it more inclusive/budget friendly)

@Arabesque looks so nice @Kris77 had to say it thrice ?.

Everyone looks fabulous and summer (winter for @Arabesque) ready! ❤️
  15. Did you make or purchase it because either way that is a bargain!
  16. Sopa de Frijoles Negros (minimalist version ) this is 1 cup and I ate less than half because I added the amount of salt that the recipe called for but it was too salty for me. Greek yogurt parfait (1 cup of yogurt) with local honey (fighting allergies) crumbled sesame seed brittle and 7 cherries on the bottom.

Condolences to you and your family.
  18. Bagged salads are a lifesaver sometimes!
  19. It is sooooo good and surprisingly I don’t want any more of it (so I have to trash it soon) ?
  20. Cinnamon swirl and raisin spice bread! Apparently I make bread so infrequently now that I didn’t know that my bread machine was on the fritz. I had to use the oven. Not doing this again for a while.
  21. @Arabesque, @Kris77 & @Dave In Houston those price would lead back to veganism!
