Whar you're doing right now is honestly to me the hardest part. Everything hurts, you can't sleep cause the nurses wake you all the time, you can't eat, toy can hardly drink. It's awful. Get through this and you can do anything. good luck

Dating is the thing I'm most nervous and yet most excited about at the same time.

I'm my own worst enemy because I always think "why should I like someone ago wouldn't like me when I was fat?" But I know that is the wrong approach to have.

I'm sure once you meet a guy who gives you the eye and you return it, all your worries will be forgotten.

Sure, he could be a scumbag but then so can anybody. Don't be afraid to love.

I don't know about everyone else but the whole not being hungry thing is a massive incentive.

I still crave pizza and fizzy drinks like anything but I know one slice of pizza would fill me and a fizzy drink would bloat me so what's the point?

I've had a tiny sliver of cake at work and today I tries a few crisps that my brother was raving about but those tiny bits were enough.

They will be for you as well, you got to just stick with yourself.

    Oh boy where to start..
    1) I want to be able to jog with my dogs. My dogs have been my lifeline and even just 2 months after surgery I already have more energy so am giving them longer walks which they love and I love, but eventually I want to be able to jog with them. They are active dogs and they deserve better so I hope I can give that to them one day.
    2) To have the confidence to go swimming again. I used to be a big swimmer, I lost like 70 pounds about 6/7 years ago when I would swim daily. Then stuff happened and I stopped swimming and the weight piled back on. I need to regain the confidence to say who cares to what the world thinks of my fat arse and just get in a pool and swim like Jaws is tailing me.
    3) To have body confidence.. To get real personal real quick, I have severely low self esteem and due to that I have been incapable my whole life of forming romantic bonds with people. I've had chances to but have also shot them down because how could anyone love me when I can't love myself? I want to get to a place where I can believe that someone would love me and return those feelings.
    4) SKY DIVE
    5) Eventually I want to return to further education. I messed up when I was in high school and now I work a job that has no future because that feels like all I'm good for. I want to take up a part time choice in something I care about and hope to change career to something I would feel happier doing.
    6) Enjoy my life. Because for 30 years I've bee coasting. I want to live before I regret not.

I think I hear it working more which is really interesting I think since it has shrunk. I kinda like that though, makes me feel more in touch with my body.

I'm 2 months post surgery (sleeve by the way) and I have no regrets whatsoever. Before I knew that sleeve was an option I was kinda against surgery too. I didn't like the idea of having a band in me and I hated more the idea of my digestive system being rerouted so the sleeve was perfect.
I do think I've had an easy time of the recovery. The wait for surgery was about 4 years for me so my mind was more than ready for the challenge. So I think if you do go for it just study, learn everything.
The worst time is being in the hospital just post surgery, but you know that. Once you are home everything gets about 10 times easier. If you can deal with 4-7 days of discomfort (and I really think its worth it) then go for it.
Once I got home the only times I have felt nausea were three times I overate and even then it wasn't actually nausea, I just felt bloated more than I ever had before. But that feeling goes within 2 hours and from that you learn your new limits.
I had two weeks off work (desk job) but really I could have returned sooner. Mentally I was ready so my body caught up quick too, that is the key I promise.
Drinking your fluids is important but its no difference to what we SHOULD be drinking without surgery which many people do not do.
The first food stage post surgery is Clear Liquids for a few days and then onto puree food when you're ready. You will not want to eat much at this stage as you'll still be recovering so it really won't affect you too much. Before you know it you'll be on soft food which is easier to work into your daily life.
One last thing I will say is, I was doing this 12 week group therapy program with some others who struggle with their weight. I was the youngest person (28) by a mile. The rest of the group were all in their 50's plus. One the last week before the group was in session I was chatting to one of the older men just casually and he mentioned surgery to me (It was something we spoke about in group and the plan after the 12 weeks was to see if people wanted to go on to surgery or if they perferred to keep trying to lose weight through eating and exercise alone).
Anyway, I asked this older man if he would go for surgery and he looked and me and said "If I was your age I would do it in a heatbeat". I pretty much made my decision there and then. I don't know your age at all but whether you're 30 or 300 I would say go for it, because life is full of enough regrets and I knew I didn't want to be looking back in my golden years still trying to lose weight that would never stay off.
I was given a helping hand and I took it gladly and I'm doing everything now I can to help myself.

    Good luck with your decision.

Yes I am. They tested my blood last night and have been happy with my breathing. Nothing points to anything else other than inner stomach lining bleeding which they suggested and we're not concerned about

Hi there, just curious if anyone else has had this problem. The doctors have checked and they are happy that I'm not having a pulmonary embolism but it still quite frightens me. Any stories would be appreciated, good or bad. Thanks

I'm on day 6 of 14. It is still tough but getting through it.
Water...drink Water when you find yourself having a headache.
Warm items help me feel more satisfied. Soups and high Protein hot chocolate are my favorites.
Add ice in a blender with your shakes...it gives them a little bulk and there are small bits of ice you can chew!
I add benefiber to one or two of my shakes each day to help keep things moving.
I get up every 2 hours (sometimes less) to use the bathroom. I've lost about 7lbs since I started and I'm sure a lot of that is water!
I'm trying a new recipe every day for shakes and soups. So while I'm having 2 chocolate Premier Protein shakes a day, the third one is usually something different. (My plan is 3 shakes and 3 protein liquid foods per day).
I keep trying different yogurts but so far haven't found one I like.
I keep telling myself better liver better surgery. I repeat that every time I see a food commercial or someone offers me something and I have to resist.

I'm too excited to be scared. My only fear right now is me waking up and the doc saying "I'm sorry miss, we couldn't operate because of such and such". I'm pumped, bring on the surgery, bring on the new me.

Not that anyone cares lol, but i've been driving myself crazy trying to find a Cookies and cream Protein Shake that actually taste like a chick fil a oreo milkshake. (Because that was my fat kid all time favorite guilty pleasure lol)
I've tasted just about every disgusting cookies and cream shake and i've been disappointed until now. Surprising it wasn't anything fancy or expensive.
The GNC pro 100% whey Protein Powder mixed with fair life fat free milk gives me life. Like i'm literally in fat kid heaven.
It works out to about 37g Protein per serving.
