  1. Cleo, you are SO right, it is about control. That's what gets me about religion. As I have stated before, I am a christian, but I am not religious. There is a huge difference. I believe that religion is all about control and it always has been. Religion has always been about controlling women. I believe that's the main reason so many people want to make abortion illegal. People can say whatever they want, but it's not about babies, it's about control. Women have fought long and hard for the rights that we have today. My mother and mother-in-law grew up in a time when women couldn't even wear pants to school. My mother wore pants to school once and got sent home. If we let the government make abortion illegal, we might as well all throw out our pants and start going back to only wearing dresses, because that will just be the start of it. Once they get control of abortion, they will start taking control over everything else women do. Outlawing birth control would be next on the list.
  2. I am a christian, and I am pro choice.
  3. Bjean, I totally agree. We must never let them take away our rights.
  4. I have a lot of fatigue mostly. I get tired very easily. I also have an extreme amount of pain in my neck, shoulders, back, knees, just about every where. Sometimes massage works, but sometimes it makes it worse. Heat helps a lot. I find that when I don't get enough sleep, the pain is worse, especially in my neck and shoulders. I have never tried any medications, and to be honest, I don't go to the doctor for it, because I am afraid they won't do anything for me anyway. I guess I am afraid they will tell me it's all in my head.
  5. Yea let's make abortion illegal so a young girl will be forced to go to a back alley doctor and die. Yea, that makes sense.

I also had major hair loss about 3 months after surgery. I went to the doctor, had all types of blood tests, which were all normal. I tried biotin, I tried every type of multi vitamin I could get my hands on. I even tried that expensive shampoo. Nothing worked. Then one of my nursing instructors suggested I take prenatal vitamins. I thought "yea right, that won't work." But I was desperate, so I decided to try them. They worked! My hair stopped falling out and looks so much better! I just bought the cheap kind from walmart.
  7. I decided not to get Mirena because I have endometriosis. My doctor put me on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo to help control it, and I absolutely love it. I have had trouble with all types of birth control pills, but I haven't had any trouble with these. No mood swings, and my skin actually looks so much better.
  8. I saw this on tv and was wondering if anyone has used it. Also, this is probably stupid, but is it safe to do ab workouts? My doctor never said anything about it, so I was just wondering what everyone else was told.
  9. LOL @ triangle!! I totally agree with you, you can't tell anything about a man's member just by the size of him! I have had the same experiences with skinny white boys and a black man!
  10. I have had IBS my whole life.
  11. Cupcakes? Someone say cake???? Where??? I can eat that with a band right???
  12. I've never tried it, but I'd be willing to try anything!
  13. My insurance will not cover massage. I wish it did, because it helps more than anything. My pain is 99% in my neck and shoulders. My husband just doesn't understand why it hurts. I can't make him understand. I have not tried any medication. I am very sensitive to meds and I am afraid of the side affects.
  14. When the doctor drained the cysts on my ovary and removed the endometriosis, he took pictures and gave them to me. They are neat, in a gross kind of way, lol!
  15. I just had 2 cysts removed from my left ovary last month. I'm not sure how they will do yours, but they just went in with a camera through my belly button and drained them. I had to have a laparoscopy, but I also had endometriosis that had to be removed. So yours might be different.
  16. I just started nursing school this month. We don't start clinicals until October. So since this is your first semester, you probably won't start clinicals for a few weeks after school starts. I think you will be fine. I would definetely let your instructor know. Just plan your day ahead and be sure to get plenty of liquids.
  17.:biggrin: I feel sorry for the person who was holding up my giant saggy boobs!!!
  18. I can't afford to go to a salon. I am in nursing school and jobless at the moment, so that's not an option right now. I have colored my own hair for years. I just think I need a different color.
  19. Maybe it was just the color of the excellence cream that I didn't like. Maybe I will just try a different color of it. I don't have any gray (yet) but in the summer the ends of my hair tend to get really brassy looking and I don't like it, so that's why I dye it. But the color I picked just seemed to make the brassyness worse. I think I will try it again this weekend.
  20. I have never tried the patch. I always heard it didn't work if you weighed over 198, so I never wanted to take a chance.
  21. I colored my hair on Monday and I really don't like the color. It turned out really brassy. I want to redo it but I'm unsure of how long I have to wait. Should I wait a week? Or longer? Also, does anyone recommend any good hair dyes? I used to use the Clairol Hydrience, but they discontinued it. I used the Loreal Excellence Cream this time and I really didn't like it at all.
  22. I have not had Mirena, but I have tried the Nuvaring. I had a very hard time getting it in and I was always afraid it was going to come out somehow. So I didn't use it very long. But there are a few girls I know who use it and they love it.
  23. Maybe you could tell her you really didn't like the way the assistant did your hair. I would also say something like, "I don't have a lot of money to spare at the moment, is there anyway you could do my hair any cheaper?" She would probably say yes just to keep you as a customer. I don't blame you for not tipping the last time. I don't think you should automatically leave a tip. A tip means good service and it doesn't sound like you got it.
  24. I never thought about seeing a chiropractor. Good idea.
  25. I have never been formally diagnosed with it, but I have all the symptoms. Massage seems to help me more than anything. Exercise helps too. I have a lot of fatigue. I have never tried any medications for it, but I used to work in a doctor's office and we had a lot of patients that were on lyrica for it.
