    Good to see real reviews.
@JeffN well what did you expect for a thread about reviewing products? Some people find them convenient, and of course natural is good - but God made sugar tooand look where that will get you!!! I don't think the posters are using these for every meal.
And whey isolate Protein is from cows.

I am asking what you are eating specifically , and what are the quantities? They say drastic weightloss sometimes our bodies need time to catch up. but it will start again. Are you reaching your liquid goals? When I drink more my weightloss starts again

I have been having the same worries. I am one week post op and have no issues drinking plenty of Water and my Protein Shakes. I have been having between 8 and 11 oz shake for Breakfast and then a coffee mug of broth for lunch. I find that in the evenings is when I have difficulty. I can only drink 6 oz or less of Protein Shake for dinner. Throughout the day I have 2 popsicles and when I am extra hungry I have a Jello. I don't feel any real bad discomfort when drinking or eating the jello. I feel like it's almost too easy. I am worried about this because surgery was my last resort. I lost 17 pounds on my 2 week preop diet. I had surgery exactly a week ago today and have lost 7 pounds in that week.

Yesterday, I was getting on a boat, for a lovely day out with my wife, when I noticed a little girl kept looking back at me and staring. I braced myself for the innocent comment from a small child that is not intended to hurt, but does nevertheless. Thankfully, she didn't say anything...but she didn't have to..the damage was done. I was once again very conscious of my size.
A few weeks back it happened at the gym when a young girl (maybe 4 y.o.) was staring at my legs...I knew it was coming and sure enough, she then commented to her mom about how big my legs are. (I'm still pre-op)...I very politely told the little girl that she hurt my feelings and it wasn't nice to point out how I'm different. She cried and her mom apologized and thanked me for being willing to teach her child (thank god she didn't get angry). The little girl apologized and I told her I forgave her and it was okay.
I really do get it. They don't often see women with my body shape...so I don't really fault the children...they are just trying to understand something that is very different. But damn it hurts every time... I look forward to the day when I'm just normal fat..I don't even care about thin...I just want to be small enough that children don't make me want to cry anymore.

That is one main thing I crave all the time is a nice big salad.before my surgery I was a avid salad eater and now I miss that . I take my Calcium with D3 ,multivitamin, B12 every week , I have not started on the Iron as the side effects of iron is Constipation and I personally don't want that and I use the Bariactive Vitamins they come right to my door every month .I'm four months out from surgery . I just wish the craving for salad will go away one day .

@Dabearo lol! I'm not being aggressive at all. I'm just tired of all the internet heros and their capes offering nothing more than their own insecurities and struggles masked by calling them opinions.
This isn't a black and white thing. What works for some won't work for others. As the above said, I'm 6'3 muscular man. Not a 5'3 woman. So my outcome and journey will already be drastically different that these ladies.
My original post was me just stating that I haven't had any of the issues that the majority of the people at my stage in postop seem to be having.
At the end of the day, if you can toss encouragement but rather come at people with judgment and horses-hit comments....Then you can kick rocks and find your self a hug for your unhappy selves.
    Have a good night.

You're lucky. I was also sleeved on 08/03. I visited my doctor today and I don't even get to start on puréed food for another whole day. Still on full liquids. Enjoy the soft solids

I went through a phase of this. Thank God (knock on wood) it seems to be subsiding a bit.

My surgeon said that this is my sleeve sending me a "signal" since I don't get that full belly feeling I used to before surgery. He said as the swelling goes down it will go away, and it has!

I finally found someone in the same boat as me. I'm exactly 4 months out and sometimes just the thought of food makes me nauseous.
I'm dropping multipul kg's in days cause I'm not eating and I'm feeling like crap cause I'm not eating.
I can can get some liquids in fairly easy but others I have no luck with. I don't know what to do, my surgeon wasn't too worried about it and my gp is still new to sleeve stuff. Have you found out anything?

So it looks like the last post on this thread was in 2012, but I thought I would try to restart this group because I'm from this area. I'm having my sleeve done in August at St. Bernadine's in San Bernardino with Dr. Fedorka as my surgeon. I'm going through Kaiser. Anyone else currently from this area going to get sleeved soon?

Bless your heart hon. Reading instantly made me think of my mom. Besides the RA and hip, she's got most everything you developed and cancer, uterine and lung. I'm hopeful that she can receive WLS in the near future and have a great outcome like you too. Thank you for sharing. There is always hope!

I'm Angi. Hello. I'm 41. I am a mother of two teenagers 18 and 14, who are pretty independent of me. I think I may have empty nest syndrome already, even though the 14 y.o is still living at home. My husband is a driver and it takes him away from the house up to 6 days a week. I work. I'm a preschool teacher in an infant and toddler program. I am pretty active all day, but I love to eat. I love sweets and breads. food is always available at my job, all day long. And I think I have very little self control, which is how I ended up being the size I am. Heaviest weight was 284. I'm 5'5
I started my journey with weight loss surgery inquiry in October of 2016. My classes began in November 2016 and I finished them at the end of February 2017. I finally met with my surgeon and I have a date for surgery on August 3rd 2017. I'm going through Kaiser Permenente of S.Ca.
I am excited and nervous... I have lost a little bit of weight in preparation but it's been very slow going. I can't wait to get the ball rolling.

Betcha you ate the extra carbs because you're also close to your cycle, which makes you retain Water. Just breathe - it'll disappear and-then-some in a few days.

I never said I didn't eat an ounce of bad food. All I am saying is that I wasn't pile driving candy bars, Cookies, fast food, etc down my gullet. Overeating was my problem, and as many can attest, you can still gain weight polishing off 2 or 3 helpings of grandma's meatloaf.

@@Dknal2 Hey, I thought you were a blonde! My moment came when I had closed in to less than 20 lbs away from weighing 500 lbs. I had tried all sorts of things, but I was having no real success. Getting into the program got my head reset and focused more than I had been in years.
I was in very good health except for being overweight, or so I thought. Almost everything was good, but I had crept up to the low end of diabetic. BP was normal, cholesterol was 142, triglycerides were 90, but I had crossed that threshold where really bad things were going to start happening with my blood sugar.
Currently I am down to 364, and my H1ac just came back at 5.7, almost a full point down from when I started. BP actually runs a bit low, and I suspect my other numbers are still very good. My original goal was to hit 325, but I am aiming for 300 now. We'll see how that goes. I've only been at this for a little more than six months.
