I was told that many people have difficulty with the egg yolk and it's better to do egg whites. I did egg white omelettes with cheese and sometimes spinach. I had a hard time the 1 time I did a whole egg...it really hurt my stomach.

I know some people have problems with scrambled eggs. Maybe leave them alone for now and try a different puree, like refried Beans or blended Soup, or that yummy ricotta bake! I'm lucky enough to not be having any intolerances at this point, but you should definitely not give up on the purees.

The only thing I would of done differently was not make a bunch of Jello and buy food before. I ended up throwing all the jello away and since your taste buds WILL CHANGE do not buy bulk food that you used to like Bc chances are they will taste different and you will not like them.

Are you pre or post op? Just curious, why that calorie range?

The Premier Protein drinks sit well with me. Isopure unflavored too.

Dannon light and fit yogurt or the oikos triple zero. Some places have a carb control yogurt that a lot of people like too.

    Low fat cheese.
Lean meats like another person suggested.

I also like Quest Protein Bars.

Thank you! In two weeks I'll be 3 months post op and I'm just thrilled with the results! I'm officially down 75 lbs since the day I started my pre-surgery diet on 12/6. RNY on 12/27. My starting weight on 12/6 was 324 lbs and my current weight is 249 lbs. My dream goal is 174 lbs, or 150 lbs lost.

Hey everyone I just wanted to share that I had the gastric bypass one week ago today and so far so good! I think the preop diet really helped me to prepare for this. The surgery went very well and I didn't need much pain meds in the hospital. I made myself get up and walk and was released the next morning. I had bloating and gas as expected but not too bad. I really want to thank the Methodist Hospital Bariatric Program (Sacramento, CA) and my surgeon Ruby Gatschet for such a smooth process.
I referred to my postop eating booklet once I got home and have lost 4lbs so far. I am looking forward to progressing in the booklet and changing my life to better my health.
