I definitely waited about 8 weeks before my first drink, now i can't seem to stop drinking, i need to stop bc i'm afraid of what the consequences will be later on. I have a very stressful job so at night i like a vodka and crystal light, definitely will stop from today forward. maybe i should start working out instead drinking :-)

After getting to Goal and maintaining it I am definitely going for the "Daddy Do Over". If my truck got damaged I would spend tons of money trying to make it look New again so why not show my body the same respect. Definitely keep me up to date with how his practice is doing. Facebook Paul Holt

    On the go
cheese - babybel, laughing cow, cheese sticks
    Jerky
    Lunchables (don't eat the crackers)
Okios triple zero yogurts (cup or drink)
    Ready to drink Protein drinks
High Protein chips/crackers like Quest, WonderSlim, Medifast etc.
I make unflavored Protein added puddings and Gelatin. You can buy 2-5oz cups and lids at your local restaurant supply store.
    At home meals
I've made shrimp (ground) curry with zucchini, chicken and cheese stuffed crepes, Korean bbq, swai with again glaze, crust less quiche. They all have 300cals or less per serving with 17g protein or more.
    Homemade protein fudgecicles
12oz fairlife milk and 2 scoops GENEPRO. Mix well and pour into 6 pack 3oz popcicle mold. Makes 6 serving 54 cals and 10g protein. Can add in things like PB2, banana baby food, instant coffee, sugar free syrups or ground freeze dried strawberries for only a few more cals and carbs.

Try the genpro brand of unflavored Protein powder. I drank it in my ice tea and had no taste or texture changes. Only noticeable change was it did make the tea or crystal lite cloudy. You can buy it on Amazon.

I use Syntrax necter lemon tea protein! You can add some lemonade crystal light or even the peach iced tea. I also will add real lemon juice. I didn't like many Protein Shakes, but I love this kind!

You could try an unflavored Protein powder.
I use Isopure and it mixes well in Decaf iced tea and Crystal Light. Great way to get your Protein in.

I've talked with lots of other PCOS sleevers and they all seem to say that the surgery helps with their insulin resistance, helps with their Patches of darkening skin, helps to make their periods more regular, helps them get pregnant naturally... but we are stuck with the hair!
I'm hoping that once I reach a more normal weight my hormones will even out enough that I'll at least be able to get electrolysis and have it work! I once looked into it and the doctor I saw told me not to bother because the minute my hormones fluctuated I'd be getting it all back again

Cheetos and popcorn and you're not even healed yet? I hope you can remember why you did this surgery and get on plan soon. Best of luck.

People get used to you being the fat one and feel better about themselves when around you so if you all of a sudden look great they don't know how to feel or deal with that. I've been on both sides. I get it. But to not be friends with someone because of it!? There are some serious issue going on there.

Chrissy, I was where you are. I started this journey with what could only be kindly referred to as "baby fine" THIN hair. And the thought of losing it sickened me. Well, I am five months (almost) in and yup, hair is falling out. It started at about 3 months and I lose a good small fistful every morning. I take Biotin religiously, Shampoo every other day with Biotin and collagen shampoo, take my vitamins/flax seed, etc. And it falls out, and the biotin assists with new Hair growth. Not as quickly as it falls out. I got a perm about a month ago to give my hair some body. I can't say it helped. It is not the best side effect. But I am down 70 pounds, wearing "real person" clothes. Enjoying size 12 skirts and skinny jeans, crossing my legs, not being the biggest person in the room, and loving compliments that make me feel beautiful. I'd give all my hair to keep this. It will slow down (dr. says the loss haults when the weight loss does, so I am in NO HURRY, now, for the Hair loss to stop- I'd like to eek 30-40 more pounds out of this sleeve), and your hair will come back. Maybe not as full as before, but when the rest of your body feels this good. You can find a hair cut that works for you. YOu won't be bald, ut you will have thinner hair. But... it will match the rest of you! Relax. It is okay.
    Honestly, the Constipation is worse!

So I am 5 months post-op and am down 75 lbs.
My 12 year old daughter had a dance performance over the weekend. I was sitting in the balcony at the theater and remained after the show. The performers gathered on stage and were getting feedback from the director. My daughter was looking around so I stood up and waved to her. She looked confused and pointed to herself and was like "me???" Um...yes you silly... she slightly waved and looked somewhat embarrased. She told me afterwards that she DIDN'T RECOGNIZE IT WAS HER OWN MOTHER! At a distance, she visually saw a much skinnier person and thought it was some random person. Ha!! THAT, my friends was so AWESOME!!!

The advice my dr gave me was sip, sip, sip. Whenever I have a free moment sip, always have a bottle with me, sip on tea, coffee, diet cordial.

YOU CAN DO IT! We can do it together! I am only 1 week in and in terrible pain, but we can't turn back now! We can do this!! We can help each other lose the weight and sip sip sip.
I have a cup in the kitchen, bedroom and lounge rooms, so everywhere I go I can pick up a cup and sip.

Your fat cells have a buttload of stored hormones in them so as your body uses them for fuel these hormones are released and flood you it throws your levels out of whack for a while.
It’s the same reason you have major mood swings for a while too its just hormone overload and your body processing them and getting to grips with it.
