  1. I have an IUD so at most I get a day or two of spotting during my cycle but since my surgery I’ve been spotting every day. Some heavier than others. More annoying than anything else really but there you have it
  2. Stay strong but probably best to come clean to your team. If it has to be postponed best to do it now rather than day before. So many things are connected with a surgery like this it would be unfair to you and them. But first things first... focus on Nov 11 for the time being. Whatever it may be you’ll still need some healing time.. physical, emotional, both... so don’t just ignore this and focus on the bylass alone. Give each procedure its due. And good luck of course!
  3. The more the merrier
  4. HappyHalloween! You guys went all out I see
  5. Two kids at home and I’ve been cooking for them and hubby since I was 1 week out. They fended for themselves that one week but I’ve been cooking for about 2 weeks now and it works perfectly fine. Granted, it’s only 2 weeks so neither appetite nor hunger are making me want stuff... maybe ask me again a few months out? But so far it’s been no big deal.
  6. I’d like to amend my statement from above; looks like I didn’t agree with a new multi I was trying out and out it went! Took me 3 mornings to realize that it was the multi causing the problem.
  7. 250, sleeved 10/10....things depend on your height as well of course.
  8. Problem would be that if you lie now and they find out about it later there wouldn’t be a payout and you’d be stuck with already paid premiums I would think?
  9. In addition? That’s a tall order my friend. Mine OK protein shakes as part of the liquid intake requirement. Your surgeon’s office agrees or is your NUT part of that office anyway?
  10. I used to take Centrum... no probs. Then I ran out and figured I’d give this sample I got a try. Big no go. Might of course work for others but Bariactiv did not work for me. I’ll be going back to Centrum. (My surgeon ok’s regulars as long as it has 400 folate in it)
  11. Love it!! Hope you’re doing Ok. You’ll know your intake pretty soon and will be able to let go of your alarms but until then rock it!
  12. So glad you’re feeling Ok. Happy Halloween!
  13. Don’t you just love it [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  14. I’m 3 weeks post op tomorrow and was seriously worried that I wasn’t getting any signals or not reading them correctly for a while. I then realized I start burping when I’m full, like my body’s trying to make room? Still, I worried that I’m never gonna get that ? everybody else seems to be talking about. Well, today my body reacted as it should and while I’m not proud of the fact that I barfed into the nearest trash can which happened to be in the kitchen in full view of the family having their dinner... I am rather happy that my tummy said “see, your sleeve is working; just LISTEN!”
  15. They actually mean 4 weeks which doesn’t make this any better of course. I disagree with it as well but want to check with my team before I do anything. Thanks! [emoji120]
  16. Oh this is great! I’m at “average pizza consumed by American/year” and my goal is “2 mo old horse”
  17. That’s going to be one of my questions at my next meeting. Once I’m back to a modified regular diet I am told to have 3 square meals and nothing in between. That sounds a little harsh... say you have breakfast at 7:30, then lunch at 12; that’d be 4.5 hrs which is OK but then if dinner isn’t until 7 pm that’s a 7 hrs gap and seems too long to me to be a long-term plan. I’ll find out more about it.
  18. I went to pureed foods with chunk at 2.5 weeks instead of 4. I eat super slow and chew the heck out of my bites and it works for me. Not that I would go out and recommend it to anybody, I mean, it is called cheating!
  19. Which ones? I also got the petites but petite doesn’t seem to be “petite” and I’d love to try something else.
  20. 2.5 weeks out, I don’t really go by carbs but checking my intake I see that I seem to be in the 45-60 range daily.
