Thank you, I am doing pretty good today. I told my wife maybe tomorrow when I don't have work. I am hoping things just continue to get better. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

*Sex*
That's what I am saying. I am not overly sore, but sore enough. And like I said, I have no desire to right now. She is down 80 pounds since her sleeve and pre op diet so she wants it all the time. I am half dead and trying to heal and get healthier. I am hoping my sex drive comes back once I get some weight off, but I am damn near 40 and might be past my prime. I am only a week out and my wife is pressuring me for it. I really do not have the desire or the energy right now. However, I know she needs the intimacy and closeness. I don't want to rupture my suture line and croak mid sex. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

4 oz lite yogurt today
I am only one week out, so I am not on regular food yet but someone on here said you really won't feel the full sensation until you are eating regular foods. I haven't felt full with liquids. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

What happened here?
I did see a few douchebags that were basically on here to troll, but I don't much of them anymore. Maybe they were banned? I only see a handful of people offering suggestions and support. Such is life. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery was the EASY part
I had been told by my surgeon and my dietician that surgery was going to be the easy part of this journey. I did not believe them. I had seen people say that on this forum and I did not believe them. I was so scared about my surgery, I couldn't see how that would be the easy part. Here I am six days post op and I realize that surgery really was the EASY part. I am back to work and stressed out and all I want to do is eat something and I cannot. These next few weeks are going to be tough. Having said that, I do not have any buyers remorse. Anyone that is getting close to their surgery date, be prepared as surgery is going to be the easy part. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Beware of Quest protein powder
I love quest protein powder. The cannister usually isn't full to the brim. Never actually stopped to count the servings, but I have noticed a new can isn't full to the top. Might have been an error on the company's end. The powder is awesome with Unsweetened Almond milk. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Ok, how bad did this REALLY hurt??!
My wife was in severe pain after her sleeve, but she also had a lot of scar tissue from numerous abdominal surgeries. She had two C sections, gall bladder removed, appendix removed, and hiatal hernia repair. She was in really bad pain. She was doing good about a week after surgery. I was sleeved 5 days ago, never had an abdominal surgery before, and the pain wasn't too bad. Like Allie said, felt like my abs had been shredded from sit-ups. I feel fine today and stopped the pain meds on Sunday. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

frustration!!
My preop diet was 3 weeks before surgery. I see alot of people saying there's was 2 weeks before surgery. Some people say their doctor required liquids only for the weeks leading up to surgery. Mine was simply low carb and low fat. Two days of clears before surgery. The really hard part is post op. I am 5 days post op and I am so hungry and can only have clear liquids. Surgery Update
I am not sure. He never said anything about an acid blocker. I had my surgery here in the states and my surgeon has been doing bariatric surgery for close to 20 years. I see him in a couple weeks, I will ask about it. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Gastric sleeve surgery
Depends on your insurance requirements. 6 months seems to be the typical amount of time they require. It will also depend on what your surgeon requires you to do. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery Update
I can't believe how hungry I am, I was not mentally prepared for this. It is not "head hunger" my stomach is growling and I am starving. I remember my wife experiencing the same thing and I thought it was all in her head. On a lighter note, I am down 30 pounds including the three week pre op diet and I have noticed some changes. It is easier for me to get up out of bed and easier for me to get up off the couch. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

No, not taking anything for gas. All I can tolerate is red Gatorade and sleepy time tea. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery Update
I am so hungry it isn't funny. I thought I wouldn't be hungry post surgery but I definitely am. My stomach is actually growling. Nothing sounds good to me. Broth makes me nauseous. I have had some sugar free Popsicles. Red Gatorade has been helpful as well. The clear protein drinks are awful. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery Update
Thank you all. I feel ok. Just really sore, like if I did a ton of sit-ups and now my abs are shredded. So far, no buyers remorse or regrets. Haven't cried at all yet either. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Surgery Update
Hello, My surgery went well. I was home around 4 yesterday and spent most of the night in bed. Just got up to take my vitals and walk. I am at the doctor's office right now to get my drain pulled. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Two days of clears is AWFUL
That's pretty funny, you must have been stressed about work. My wife and I have to drive like 1.5 hours to get to my surgeon, so I will have a long car ride to stress and then all the preop stuff. Plus, I hate getting IV's put in. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Two days of clears is AWFUL
Thank you. I am so hungry right now. Just sitting here drinking ice water. Getting ready to go to sleep. I am scared and anxious for tomorrow. I have to do this, I will literally eat myself to death if I don't. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Two days of clears is AWFUL
Yeah, the preop diet was rough but at least I could eat real food. Two days of clear liquids has been rough. Like you said, I have my huge stomach that is used to eating a ton of food and clear liquids isn't cutting it. I have laid down alot today but I am home alone with my kids, so my napping is over. Surgery is tomorrow morning at 9:30 Arizona time. Think positive thoughts for me, and pray for me. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

Two days of clears is AWFUL
Thank you. I just drank some beef broth I made and it was actually good. It's pretty sad when you are enjoying broth. I have started the antibiotics to cleanse my GI and my appetite is going away. Surgery is in the morning and I am scared. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
