  1. I understand. I am not dropping as fast as I thought I would from my gastric sleeve. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. I have lost 35 pounds in 5 weeks. 18 on preop diet. 17 since surgery two weeks ago. Feel like I should be losing faster though. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. It was free on Amazon Kindle a few weeks ago. I got it but haven't read it. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. I tried 4 different types of clear protein drinks and hated them all. The premier clear from Sam's was tolerable. The premier protein shakes are good, chocolate and vanilla. Don't like the banana or the Carmel. Sugar Free Jell-O, low calorie Gatorade. Basically the liquid diet sucks and is going to be very hard. Get yourself mentally prepared. Being on liquids, especially clear liquids is torture. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Ha ha ha. Good catch. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I have that book, but haven't read it yet. I probably should. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I don't take any vitamins. I think I should be though. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Thanks Bro. It's been rough but I am doing my best. I see the surgeon on Monday. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I am right there with all of you. I am always hungry. The scale isn't budging at all. I miss my junk food. I am stressed out at home. I am miserable at work. I already suffer from Major Depressive Disorder. This has been very hard. I thought I would drop weight faster and I am discouraged. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Man, that is a bummer. I am afraid of having similar results. I was sleeved 13 days ago. I am a food addict and trying to adjust to life with the sleeve. I want to be successful. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Did you have a lot of weight to lose in the first place? I need to drop between 150 and 200 pounds. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I would like to know more about why the sleeve didn't work? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. I know man. I was not mentally prepared for how difficult this would be. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. I have only seen like two people say they regret it and I believe both of them had some personal issues they didn't address before hand. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Pureed food already? I had to do one week of clear, then one week of full, now I can start puree. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Everyone has issues like that. People are always going to be unsupportive. You need to do what is best for you. It's not about losing some weight, it's about losing weight and keeping it off. Anyone can lose some weight, but long term success is what matters. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. I am 13 days post op. Hungry all the time. Miss my favorite foods. Miss pizza and wings. Having said that, I don't regret the surgery. My incisions are all but healed. I wish the weight was dropping faster. Looking forward to getting thin. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Amen sister. 13 days out and learning some valuable lessons myself. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. Yeah it's been rough. I am thinking "why am I starving myself, have no energy and the scale isn't moving" Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. My only concern would be does it make you want to eat? Back when I used to get lifted, I always wanted to eat. I would eat a ton of junk food. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. Should be fine. Clear liquids only for two days prior to surgery. Sugar Free Jell-O is considered a clear liquid. Nothing to eat after midnight night before surgery. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. What is congee? Whatever you do, don't drink anything. It will make it worse. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. Glad to hear it. I am hoping with weight loss I can stop using the blue pill. Walter Sobchak is easily John Goodman's best role. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. When I was on the preop diet, I wanted taco bell so bad. Right now has been hard as college football has started up again and I miss pizza and wings. Oh well, those things are what got me to be 425 pounds. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. I will say I was naive about how difficult this surgery would be. I thought I had prepared myself mentally and I was wrong. I am 11 days out. I have lost my oldest friend, my oldest source of comfort, my oldest drug of choice. I know this surgery had to be done, my health was failing and my quality of life was pretty low. But I do agree this surgery is way more difficult than I thought it would be. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app
