  1. As soon as all of your incisions are healed. I LOVE swimming!!
  2. My doctor said to do whatever I needed to so I can go. I had to do 2 Colace in the am and 2 in the pm, and Miralax at night.
  3. It's just a different scale. For accuracy, is the same scale. My home scale is 10 lbs different from my doctor. Don't sweat it.
  4. That is probably where the surgeon inserted the largest instrument. It's the most painful, and takes the longest to heal. Roll to your side before you sit up.
  5. Post op pain is pretty severe. Once you get past that it is painful to roll on your side and coughing or sneezing kills! BUT you will be so glad you did it!
  6. Cigna approved quickly for me.
  7. 2 Colace and Miralax every night. Enema if you have to.

  10. Anyone else out there have surgery around 12/20?
  11. My doc told me to do whatever I needed to to keep things moving. I take 2 Colace every night and Miralax with water. I also take Mirafiber in the morning. It sucks, I KNOW!
  12. Let's face it, everyone loved going out to eat with us!! Eating is definitely not as much fun as it used to be, but it's time for new fun.
  13. I had things earlier than scheduled, just be careful and only once in a while.
  14. Don't tell people if you aren't willing to hear their negativity. I told my husband, kids and 2 close friends. Nobody else because I wanted to go in with a positive mind set. I have a 2nd cousin who almost died from bypass and is now on disability. I still needed to do this for ME. I'm so glad I did! Since day after surgery no BP meds after 23 years of them!
  15. Cardio exercise 150-250 minutes per week is what I was told.
  16. I just brought this same problem up at my appointment yesterday. NO energy. They said it will get better.
  17. All the hunger and cravings go away after surgery!

  20. This is why I didn't tell anyone but my husband and kids what I was going to do.
  21. 80 grams protein, 64 ounces of fluid, vitamins - daily.
