Did You Get Holiday Food Gifts This Year?
Tons! chocolate (not a big fan anyways so no biggie). Worthless candies, and my mother-in-law left a giant bin of Cookies. Cookies got tossed. Chocolates I gave to my mother in law to take into work today. There was a fruit cake (which I love). It was a nice home made one that I couldn't bring myself to toss so I froze that.

Not losing
I don't change anything, the stall will eventually end. How long have you stalled for? I don't consider it a stall unless I haven't lost in 7 days. From your stats it looks like you've lost 33lbs in 3 weeks!? So unless you lost the 33 in the first 2 weeks you are probably not in a stall. I think I was down about 12lbs at three weeks in and then I had a 7 day stall during which I gained a lb. Celebrate your progress. I wish I lost that fast . I'm 3 months in and just finished my most recent stall which was 10 days and involved gaining a lb before I dropped again. Ps. The stalls are when you lose inches.

Are revisions REALLY necessary?
Yep I was banded in 2005. Revised this year

Dumping syndrome?
The hot sweats aren't a party either...

I sometimes don't see a change
that is our heads messing with us. I joke with my husband that I've always had body dysmorphia at my high weights. I see myself 50lbs thinner in the mirror because i was always so shocked to see myself in photos. I'm glad I had before photos because I'm so dissapointed in how I look in pictures now. but when i compare the two...big difference. Thank goodness for pictures!

C section / RNY comparison?
I'm with VInasu. My c-section was infinitely worse..but i was in labor for 18 hours beforehand. my RNY was way easier than I thought. I was up walking same day. got up and walked through the first night. didn't need pain meds after the first day and asked to be discharged a day early (they wouldn't). Hardest thing post op was really the fatigue due to low calories. but my Vitamin Patches helped. I went apple picking on day 5. no way I could have done that post c-section.

Help! I m so tensed
that is great progress. I was down 6.3kilos at that point. I'm at almost the 3 month mark and am down 25 kilos. Never in a million years would I describe that as slow weight loss. You need to relax your expectations a little or you are going to lose it when you hit a stall or gain a kilo (which I've done in two of my stalls since starting). it is all part of the process.

Tried cottage cheese for the first time - help me jazz it up
I don't like yogurt so cottage cheese was my go to in the early days. I liked taking a bag of frozen mixed berries. cooking them with a little lemon juice and a little splenda and then pureeing them and straining to make a berry sauce. then I'd add that to the cottage cheese. yum.

You might be a WLS patient when...
can so relate to this. I would add going shopping and always buying things too tight so you will have something that fits in a month. I bought a size 12 dress at Ann Taylor last week! It fits...just.

Vomiting 2 weeks out - stomach bug or something else?
Could be a stomach bug. other causes of vomiting could be dumping (eating things with high sugar content...lay off the fruit and see if it makes a difference). My Protein shakes make me dump if I drink them too fast. I have a friend who said she didn't dump...but was having regular vomiting episodes. Guess what. That was how she dumped as they usually happened after eating a high carb item. I get sweaty and nauseous and dizzy and feel gross but don't vomit or have other gastro symptoms. other causes could be a stricture. I would call the doctor's office and see if they can help narrow it down.

Should I be upset?
agree with everyone. We all need to adjust to having food around that we can't or shouldn't eat. I cooked thanksgiving dinner for my family 5 days post op. was it hard?...um yeah! but I made a nice Soup for myself that I could eat with some pureed turkey and bouillon etc. Made lemonade with lemons so to speak. Not fair to ask my family to skip thanksgiving just because i had surgery. Do i get annoyed sometimes, yes of course I do. I removed myself from the dinner table Christmas day to clean up and clear plates while dessert was being served. My mother came in an told me to go back to the table to be more social. I went back to find a piece of chocolate cake at my seat. that was annoying..given she knows my shake can make me dump. I just picked up the cake and passed it back. and sat down...everyone else had finished so not the end of the world. We all just need to figure out what we need to do to cope. You are early so you just have to muscle through till you are eating solids, but even then you need to learn strategies to cope with temptations. One of mine is to always have high Protein Snacks with me. Everyone else is eating chips and popcorn? I pull out my almonds. They're eating Desserts and Cookies, i grab a handful of freeze dried strawberries or blueberries. You have to find what works for you.

NUTS!
Not sure. I portion out my nuts so I never eat more than I should...but I am always able to eat my portion which isn't always the case with dense protein. However a portion of nuts is more like 1 oz and a portion of protein is closer to 3

Slurpee 7 days post opp
Dumping for sure...avoid sugar at all costs

Dumping syndrome?
I have it if I drink my protein shake too fast...it feels terrible. Nausea, dizziness, terrible. I would avoid it at all costs

Working out
I haven't started. Saving it for when weight loss slows down later. Am almost 3 months and since week 2 have been doing 10,000+ steps a day

Semi Solid Suggestions
Was partial to crustless quiche. I stuggled with eggs by themselves at first. But mixed with other ingredients it was better. Would make everything in 1/2 cup ramekins so there was no question as to portion size

Hunger pains and uneasy feeling when eating
I had them and then when I went on Prevacid I realized it was stomach acid. Not hunger pangs. Boom they were gone within hours

Do you love your Fitbit ?
I got an Alta for Christmas. I love it. I had a step tracked the clipped onto my pants before. I much prefer the watch style.

Stall.....why?
My 2 week stall just broke. Also at 209 on my stall. Am skeptical still about what the scale will say tomorrow. It is annoying no doubt even with knowing this is just how it goes. I use miralax. It has been awesome

Did you not like your food?
I say yes it was great. You don't need to say more. Truthfully if you didn't like it you wouldn't have asked for a to go box. I once had a waiter say..you don't eat very much. I replied no I don't. That's really it you don't owe an explanation. And it is none of their business

Weakness
Agree it is totally normal. Very low calories in the early days contribute to this as well. I got the vitamin patches which I think helped

Sushi: Yay or Nay?
I have sashimi, poke and I've done tartar dishes with avocado and sashimi. Some restaurants will do maki with the topping inside hollowed out cucumber. I have sushi 2-3times a week

You might be a WLS patient when...
When you make your husband order the desserts you want so you can live vicariously through him. Or when you make your husband order the meals you want because it doesn't make sense to order your own because you'll only eat a few bites

Major Stall 11 months after surgery
Define slow. If you are losing a lb a week or thereabouts. Celebrate. I would be amazed if I were down 128lbs by 1 year post op.
