  1. Mine is thrown off so badly over had it the past 10 days. Sleeved 9/15. I think we all have something whacky with it.
  2. Yes. ladies, please don't do that! There are good men out there! My husband is absolutely amazing with support. Never left the hospital, even though my mom and dad offered him multiple breaks where they'd stay with me. Walked with me in the halls. Even turned on the heated seat before I got taken down to the car to help relax the pain. (On low, we are in NC where it's still hot as heck). I keep worrying about spending money. You all know this journey isn't cheap. We bought a new blender yesterday and I almost died, but he tells me over and over his top 2 priorities are my health and happiness. I am extremely extremely blessed. But my reason for sharing is there ARE men like this that are real. Don't settle for anything less. You deserve the best person who is out there for you. My Dad always said a marriage isn't 50/50. It's 100/100 and both people give 100% of what they have to give. He swears it's the secret to success. Anyway. Loopy, you are 110% correct.
  3. No temp. I called a very unhelpful surgeon on call. I'll give my actual surgeon's office a call in the morning. Wonder why the egg intolerance? Does it include cooked eggs, like in the ricotta bake? Thanks
  4. No, it seemed normal enough after surgery - some trouble initially woth getting fluids in but finally got there. Can't hit Protein goals yet. A few days ago I got some tuna salad puree stuck, and it went away about 2 hours later. Today is different - all I've managed to eat today is half a scrambled egg with cheese. The choking sensation woke me up from a nap. I've been sucking on crushed ice and have also done hot tea. Almost 2 hours of this feeling. My husband and I went through my entire book, and since I can still breathe he sees no reason to call or do anything until they're open tomorrow. I know everyone is different, but isn't 300 calories a day at 17 days out odd? Or is it just me being too nervous. Thank you for your help!
  5. I searched this on here, and saw it was normal to have a swollen throat in the first few days. I'm 17 days out, and just woke up from a nap with my throat feeling like it's closing in and it hurts. I ate half a scrambled egg for the dirst time today about 8 hours ago. Any ideas?
  6. I loved greek yogurt before and love it now. That I've kept down easier but takes me Breakfast and lunch to eat it with grazing - I know that's a big no no but that's hiw I can get it in. They also make frozen popsicle type things from green yogurt that are good.
  7. I have the exact same problem. Egg didn't go well. Maybe got half of it in. No appetite at all.
  8. Anyone struggling with hunger? As in, being non existent? I'm cleared for soft foods/mushies and I'm struggling to get it in. One egg scrambled with a bit of cheese, takes me about an hour. I know it's supposed to be 20 minutes with no grazing, but I have to in order to get anything in. I hit fluid goals (finally) but not Protein and am nowhere near my 800 calorie goal. I've hit the 3 week stall as well, if that makes a difference. I just can't get enough in because I have 0 interest in food.
  9. Sleeved 9/15/16 HW 310 SW 300 CW 281 Goal 175 - 180 I'm 27 and 5'10
  10. I'm quoting this because I wish more people realized this information. The amount of people that work in these unprofessional work places is staggering to me. Most of these people and their co-workers are walking lawsuits. A good HR dept is not going to want you disclosing all this medical information to your co-workers. Your boss shouldn't want to know. If you have surgery then get passed over for a promotion or something, you can easily blame it on surgery based discrimination, regardless of the facts, and bring a lawsuit. No good manager wants to know all your business like that. People work for unprofessional untrained management that are opening their companies to liability on a daily basis. I haven't told anyone but my super close friends I had surgery. People see how I eat and how I act. They never think I had surgery. They think I have changed my way of eating and I am sticking to it. Which is what happened and is true. If you eat properly and live an active life, no one will assume you had WLS to lose weight. However if you sit at your desk sucking the toppings off pizza, and never do anything active and are dropping weight like a stone that raises eyebrows. Most people believe diet and exercise work, the idea that it doesn't really work for people is beyond their comprehension. No one at work knows outside of my HR benefits employee who processed my FMLA. My boss did receive an email, saying only that FMLA had been approved and the dates. I had surgery in December of last year, a few have asked if it's related and I just say yes. (It was gallbladder removal and a scope for endo so not entirely true). But they leave it at that and so do I. 3500 people work in the same building. The last thing I need is gossip and people love to talk.
  11. I was pretty weak 4 days out. I know I couldn't wash my hair the first week or so, my mom helped because my arms were so tired I just couldn't pick them up. It gets better. I'm 2 weeks out, was able to run errands for 3 hours yesterday then passed out. Everyone is just different.
  12. Hey Debbie - with this surgery I felt minor incision pain. I had gallbladder removal and endo scope last year, and extreme pain in my abdominal wall thag was especially bad getting up and down and in and out of bed. The incisions are in different places but if your surgeon used locations in the abdominal wall that are more sensitive perhaps that is why. I was expecting that kind of pain and felt like I was lucky not to have it. As everyone else has said, call your Dr and team. I used yoga pants with the band flipped upwards as a belly binder of sorts and it helped. They may be able to give you an actual binder.
  13. Thanks! I'm 27 so there's no shortage of estrogen around here. I have an obgyn and a pcp, they've checked hormone levels before but I'm thinking I need to do it again now.
  14. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal AppI agree with the temperature as well. Cold thin liquids cause an ache but cold blended shakes with Peanut Butter (thicker) are no problem. Another point for the temperature. I can do warm or room temp liquid. I had to change to g2, tried tons and that's what worked for me. Everyone is different. 15. Trial and error. The hospital gave me nothing, I had meal/snack time guidelines from my nut. For meds, I take 15 pills - I group them into 4 piles and use a pill cutter. Morning, lunch, mid afternoon, and then before bed. They will fill you up. To stay on track, I use Outlook calendar recurring appointments. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App
  16. I'm sorry. Hope (s)he's come around. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App
  17. My husband went with me to a support group held after a seminar my surgeon gave. He was wishy-washy before hand, but got on board right after! If your program has something like that, might be worth a try. Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App
  18. Hi ladies! Bit of a back story - I have had horrible periods since I got them at 12. Very very heavy. At 22, I had a ruptured ovarian cyst. Since then, I've been diagnosed with endometriosis - confirmed via lap last year. Due to the pain I'm on continuous BCP. I haven't had a period in over 2 years. Until last week - sleeved 9/15. Started out just light spotting but has turned into one of the most painful, heaviest periods I've ever had. Been going about 10 days. Does anyone have any info or experience about this? I would really appreciate it! I have no surgery pain, but this endo pain is horrid.
  19. Yeah, I never measuref soup but 1 can mixed with milk last me 3-4 servings.
  20. Strange things happen. I'm learning there's no explanation other than stuff just becomes weird. Good luck with drinks!
  21. For some reason I couldn't do powerade zero. As soon as I switched to G2, it was much easier to hit my goal. Strange as I always drank powerade if I was sick and needed the electrolytes.
  22. Yes, exactly same. I swear I can smell the salt in broth.
  23. Oh you can also try simply lemonade or simply limeade of the fresh lemon and lime doesn't get you there. 1 part juice to 2-3 parts water. Again, that would have some calories to be mindful of.
  24. Lemon lime G2? I found lemon lime and orange G2 are what I cam drink right now. They do have calories - 45 in 20floz so just be mindful of that. I also drink plain old water, but if I'm struggling the G2 comes out.
  25. Girl that dress!!!! It's stunning. Beautiful photo - you look awesome!!
