  1. That's the part I wonder. It's insane to me to go through all the waiting, pre op diet, surgery and hospital stay then blow it on a chicken nugget - and this girl lovesss chicken nuggets especially at chik fil a. Anyway. I always wonder if they tear through their stomach or what if they continue the cycle.
  2. Does anyone has experience with vsg and endometriosis? I have horrible endometriosis and have been on continuous bcp for 2 years. Well, I don't know if it's the estrogen in the fat or the surgery not letting my bcp work. But I've started my period - which rarely happens, as I keep the bcp going every day. This is prescribed to me, btw. Confirmed endo last year. Anyway - can anyone relate or help? I think it's playing a part in why I feel so sick. I'm 1 week post vsg.
  3. Agreed - I was approved for applesauce and SF pudding. I got sick sick sick from the pudding and have struggled today with water and protein. It was like 2 steps back. Focus on the water and protein. Wish I had.
  4. I don't have an alternative, but I'm curious of the results. I have endometriosis and 3 pinched nerves and went off Celebrex
  5. Bras - soma is great especially once slimmed down. Vanity Fair (i buy it at Kohls) is always on sale, you get Kohls cash, they have big sizes, and thick bands - but still nice and lacy if you like that vs. Grandma bra. I have always had huge boobs - Soma and Kohls. Orded special bustier for my wedding from Kohls too.
  6. I have a 6k out of pocket - I think you can self pay for that without the hassle. Only perk is rest of the the year is "free"
  7. That's scary!! I wonder what happens to people who eat pizza or a burger the day after. Their stomach is gone - so how do they get back straight? I know it's horribly dangerous. Wonder what their final outcomes are. People actually attempt pizza and burgers!!!!??? I would kill for just the toppings off a slice of pizza but I know better Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App My surgeon has had 1 failure, they drove to the McD around the corner and ate a big mac. I can't imagine, I hurt so badly then. At a week out, that greasy "meat" still sounds nauseating, but I understand how people need food. I have wanted a cheese stick, but am too scared!
  8. Clean underwear Deodorant Face wipes Pjs I didn't ever wear Tablet, phone, and charger Pillow Toothbrush/paste Wish I would've brought my blanket from home. I wore my wedding band and engagement ring as I refuse to take them off.
  9. Many of us had the hernias. I sometimes wonder why some of us have it easy and others go through these problems. I was on a natural high being sleeved. I could not even st,ay home, never had nausea or any problems, my husband and I. I feel bad for those with a bad experience.I so wish I had a good post op story. You're lucky! I feel crappy. Yesterday was a high point until I had some pudding, downhill from then.

  11. Oh no. I think pudding was maybe too early. A few bites of applesauce have been ok, but in general I just feel sick. At least I know I'm not alone - most people say they feel great in a week. Definitely not me.
  12. I had that problem as well, my surgeon wrote a letter to insurance and it worked. Took 15 months to be approved, but I'm here now
  13. So I'm curious after you get sick, how long before you feel ok again? I'm 1 week out - last night I had pudding for the 1st time, I'm thinking I ate too much because the nausea and diarrhea was horrible. It was sugarfree, and I ate it with a baby spoon, over about 30 minutes. I still feel sick, 18 hours later. Is there a typical reset time? I need to eat and have a shake, but feel so sick I don't want to. I have taken zofran for nausea last night and this morning.
  14. I've been on every antidepressant in the book (toss in some antipsychotics, benzos, etc). My Mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer, I was 22 and didn't know how to handle it. The meds and depression led me from 170 (I'm 5'11) to HW 310. I'm still on a few meds, and know it's going to be a struggle. I see a therapist 1x/week and a psychiatrist every 30 - 60 days depending on what's going on. I have an extremely supportive husband. You aren't alone, and I'm sure you can do this. Best of luck to you!
  15. I was 310 lbs. No shame here ❤
  16. I have BCBSAL but live in NC. 6 month diet and some letters back and forth before I was approved
  17. Wow that's insane to think all that would fit. I'm onky a week out so don't really know what I'm doing but wow. I cannot imagine it fitting!
  18. Yikes, best of luck to you both.
  19. I ate a whole pudding cup last night and then got really sick after. But I was using a baby spoon and ate really slowly. I was shocked it even fit in my tummy.
  20. Yes don't trust a fart. That's already gotten me. Praise Jesus I was at home.
  21. For my desk job, 13 days. Then half days for a week. We'll see how next week goes!
  22. 3 shakes at that stage is simply just too much. I second the hot shakes. I take my milk frother, 8oz nonfat milk and a chocolate or caramel scoop of Protein. It becomes a latte. When I go back to work next week, I will add some coffee. My sleeve is much happier with hot liquid. Best of luck.
  23. I feel like they should've kept me when I said I got in 4 oz of broth in the day. But was sent home.
  24. Powerade Zero is what I live on 1 week out. If I can get down the entire 32oz I'm usually good getting to my 64 with the small cups of water and protein shakes. For me, those oz of fluid count now but the goal is still 64oz of water once I have mushies.
