  1. I think it can be done. I hope it works for you guys ???? My husband also hates the "what's for dinner" question. He just wants some food in front of him and is happy!
  2. I like the "wow that's personal..." statement. Too funny.
  3. I lied. I had surgery last winter for endometriosis, when they asked if it was related this year I just said yes. I'm down 21 pounds, return in 6 days. I'm 5'11 was 310 now 289 .... don't think anyone will notice as I cannot notice yet. Best wishes to you - ignore anyone rude and be proud!
  4. I wonder how 1 can do it without the other? Like, if my husband was constantly having pizza, fried food, snack food, stopping at taco bell it would be drastically more difficult. My husband isn't sleeved, but is down with the program. Military background, so he cracks down on the rules!
  5. 40 days without food. Only 2 without water. Get that gatorade in ☺
  6. Been told go easy - caffeine can be bothersome still. Coffee in and of itself isn't an issue with my nut
  7. I waited 15 months before I got my date
  8. Oh no. This would bother me too. But better safe than sorry - people always cancel those things, keep faith!
  9. That helps a lot. I have been beating myself up but I won't forget that pain. Sent from my C6725 using the BariatricPal App I'm not allowed even pudding until day 11 - if you're hungry, watch the surgery on YouTube. Works for me! I'm in a very depressed time (6 days out, uncomfortable, hungry). I totally understand you. Good luck ❤
  10. I love your food funeral. That's great!!!! Maybe I'll do the same, I like to say more of a "see you later" knowing I'll replace a big mac with something like a tiny turkey burger. Still trying to figure out what to replace buffalo wings with ... my nemesis Hope the rest of the trip goes well! @@rolosmom7 baked chicken wings with buffalo sauce - that'll be okay to have at some point! I love chicken wings too!Now for some fat free ranch! Haha. ☺☺
  11. Thanks. I actually got the lactaid milk to prevent that. I have applesauce approved, so I'm going to try taking pills with it. So glad to know I'm not alone/crazy. Hope your journey is going well! ????❤ thanks
  12. I didn't mind the liquid diet, I complied completely. That being said, I think it should be liquid with approved protein (chicken, fish properly prepared) as I was exhausted. It did help prepare me for what came after surgery though.

  14. Hey Jonitra I was sleeved on the same day. I've been flavouring my Water and it helps. A bit of juice added in is one option. The other thing I've been doing is making a cup of super concentrated herbal tea (enough tea for 4-5 cups in one mug), then I put it in the fridge. I add a little bit to each bottle of water to give it a flavour kick. It lasts a few days in the fridge. I mix it up with the herbal tea flavours. I was done the 15th - go back to work the 27th. I'm a bit nervous it's too early. Good luck @@Jonitra - hope all goes well for your 1st day back!
  15. I just had my week check up today - was told no one really gets 64oz in the first week or so, just drink as best you can. It made me feel a lot better to know I was normal. I work on getting down a 32oz bottle of Powerade zero, as well as 2 shakes and 8 oz cups of Water in between. I'm not always successful, but they assured me it's normal. Hope you heal fast!
  16. Hey, you've moved from broth to soup [emoji4] I am working hard on seeing the bright spots. It's hard though.
  17. Hmm.. soup is a good idea. It's hard especially this early in the game since we are so restricted. Will you still be on clears? Maybe just sip tea and tell her you don't feel well because of nerves. If your diet allows the eggs I would just go for it. It's so weird how every surgeon has a different diet to follow. It is so weird. Mine was liquid only 2 weeks pre-op and clear liquids 2 weeks after. Then, full liquids for another week! I also had a 41 BMI, some of his patients have to do 6 weeks pre-op! Yes same exact here! Seems soooo strict.
  18. Anytime! Please also make sure your surgeon knows about all the pills you take. I'm on 15 - not including pain/nausea meds. I wish I'd talked to my pcp and psy d before I had the surgery to look into liquid, dissovable, or heck, even injectable, options.
  19. Thanks Kellie - I think all the discomfort may actually be pain, so I'm trying my painkillers back on a 4 hour schedule. Thought I was fine without them, but perhaps not yet. Thanks again to everyone for the help. It's so nice ❤????
  20. Thank you! I think I forget with it being lap. [emoji173]
  21. I'm sure it will get easier with time. I have surgery in two days. I am scared and nervous. I have anxiety on a daily basis. My biggest thing is learning what to eat and what not to eat. I am still a little confused. I thought I knew until I started my pre op diet, but I don't. So that's what the next two days are going to consist of. I really hope it gets better for you! Have you talked to your doctor? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thanks. I have - my surgeon seems to be really, really strict. My liquid phase is 10 days, others seem to be 5 or 7. He was also strict about meds in the hospital. (Lack of, that is). I asked for applesauce to be permitted to help swallow meds - waiting to hear, but also thinking a half cup of SF applesauce can't cause harm? Good luck with your surgery - from what I can tell it's the 15 pills a day I take causing most of my issues so I'm sure you'll be great! Oh goodness. Yeah I only take 3 pills a day. So hopefully it will be okay. I am ready to get it over with, and ready to get into the recovery stages. Like right now, I feel like I could eat a mountain of something.... I don't want to be this hungry anymore. I hate it. I also have a 4 year old. So when we are eating and he wants something that I can't have. I can't tell him no because I can't have it. So that's making it pretty hard as well... but I will just have to learn to live with it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App It'll get easier for sure, hunger wise. Fairly non existent.
  22. Thanks. I'm asking for some applesauce (SF) to be permitted to help swallow meds. I have an extremely strict surgeon, but I don't see how the applesauce could hurt 5 days out? Hopefully can get a 2nd shake in tonight.
