  1. Thanks! I have tried a lot of pre-mixed but want something so I'm less bored with them, like adding PB. I'm kind of experimenting at the moment lol.
  2. Check your program. I was allowed milk in my Protein shake for extra protein. A fudge bar doesn't really sound like sugar free popsicle IMO. They mean the basic ones which are Water based and have sugar free flavoring added.
  3. Also - are you comparing the same scale? The one at the doc will always read differently. If you went from doc scale to home scale that could be why. But, I also recommend lowering carbs. That's a pretty high carb count. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be fine ????
  4. I still am amazed at the differences in all the eating plans. Mine has avocado on the list for stage 3, and others are told its a no no food. So interesting.
  5. I ate it at almost week 4, it's listed on my plan, but made me sick.
  6. I am new, and I use search everytime before I ask myself. The searching function isn't always the best. I'm sure it all gets old (especially the can I eat pizza, cake, etc.) But I know that I really appreciate it and I'm sure others do too.
  7. Oh wow, that's a legitimate shake. I thought at first it was cold stone ice vream with just protein added. Haha. I'm trying to find some good tasting ones. That one probably has more than the 200ish calories I'm after but maybe on a Sunday or something.
  8. Thanks! I have unflavored unjury that I add to everything. I had VSG and have heard about the 30g at once. Since I'm just starting stage 4, it's hard to get it in without a protein shake. I will definitely check Eggface. I must've missed thw protein shake recipes! But her beef stew puree was awesome!
  9. I'm in stage 3 and I eat string cheese once a day (it's usually my lunch). It's one of the things I tolerate best. But it is on my plan. Pasta is on my plan to limit after 60 days.
  10. Hi! When I search Protein shake, I see a lot of brands just foe powders or pre-made. I'm trying to do a protein "smoothie" of sorts for Breakfast. What are your best recipes? A lot of what I find online is 400 calories and the protein is sometime only like 12 grams. If there's another thread I couldn't find in searching, please let me know and I'll just go read that one.
  11. I hope so!!! Good luck. Try sleeping at an incline (like you were in a recliner). My husband has horrible GERD and it's the only way he can sleep.
  12. I also hate that thing. We have one, but bought a new blender bc the magic bullet is not so magical.
  13. I'll be 4 weeks out Thursday - tried a smashed avocado yesterday, which made me sick. I eat only what's on my plan list. Very frustrating. I do ok with fluids, and bought a cup that shows how much to drink before X time. Hopefully it helps. String cheese works well for me.
  14. I don't think it was done wrong. Some people heal faster, that reduces inflammation, which is a huge reason it feels extra extra tight in the beginning. You could be a fast healer, or I could be a slow one or in the middle. Who knows. I can only get it 400ish calories a day and am exhausted so it's not the best thing. What I've seen on here is everyone is so different.
  15. I'm 24 days out and have no idea where I'd put a 1/2 cup of ice cream. I make a protein smoothie type thing and it takes me almost the entire workday to get it in.
  16. I take pantaprazole - I don't think it has a generic like Nexium or Prilosec. Yes, it's Protonix. Rx only.
  17. Ah yes! My sister makes one from scratch that I love! Thanks - I think I'll save my $20.
  18. 24oz of fluid concerns me. That's low for anyone. If you kick that up to even 48 you'll probably see a small movement. 64+ even better. More importantly, don't damage your kidneys! Kidney surgery SUCKS!
  19. Hmmm. I have 1 already and 3 planned. I never thought about marking this, but I am planning on one for self harm recovery. My wheels are spinning now!
  20. I didn't have it diagnosed, but it looked like it to me. Something about no chewing makes it so our teeth/mouth aren't as clean as normal. I brushed like 4 times a day. It's getting better. I'm 24 days out.
  21. Lemonade, no sweetner with 1 scoop of matcha (each scoop has 25 calories) and light ice. Matcha is a very acquired taste but I am addicted to it. Green tea is full of b12 which I was very low on even before surgery and will give you a bit of an energy boost without the caffeine. (Note, green tea is slightly caffeinated, about 5-10% of a coffee). Didn't do well my first 10 days or so, but now I get it when we're running errands the past 2 weekends. I can finish a tall and it helps me get Fluid in too.
  22. Only twice so far have I eaten things that didn't agree with me - ricotta bake, and now avocado. First I get nauseous but it is soon trumped by stabbing kidney pain. I'm on week 4 and get in at least 48oz of Water plus a shake, so I don't think it's dehydration. Am I alone in this? Has it happened to anyone else? My food was mushed and I was reading for school, taking a bite each page so I know it wasn't eating too fast (think that might have been the ricotta error) and it was smashed up really well. I put lemon juice and salt on it.
