Depressed
Did you get the sleeve or RNY?? I had sleeve 2 5 yrs ago and am waiting for approval from the insurance company for RNY revision surgery due to reflux. I have heard several people who had RNY revision surgery have an early stall but some are not getting enough calories in as well. Hopefully you will start losing again soon. If you're concerned about it call your Nutritionist and ask questions about your food intake and fluids. They may have suggestions for you. Good luck, Allie in SC

You're doing great. I am almost 64 and need RNY REVISION SURGERY after my sleeve surgery 2.5 years ago. HW 318 SW 287 CW 225 I have gone down to 199.8 and then started gaining weight again. I never had a problem eating even a whole sandwich. I drink constantly and now crave things I never ate before. Chips, icecream and just junk. Grrrr, salt intake is way too high seems like I can't get enough. My reflux has become so much worse than it was before I started. It's crazy. Now waiting approval for the RNY revision surgery from my 2 insurance companies. I am absolutely miserable and can't wait for the approval and surgery date. I'm concerned about the surgery but I know I have to have it. Good luck Allie in SC

Revision Lapband to RNY
It's strange how different people react differently. One lady said she had no problems, didn't use any pain medication and went back to work in 4 days. Everyone is different and some people have a higher tolerance for pain (thankfully I am one of those people). Maybe make some easy to throw in crockpot meals to make things easier for you during the first couple of weeks. That's my plan.

Revision Lapband to RNY
I have not had my RNY revision surgery yet but if I were you I'd see if you can get someone as a standby in case you need anything. I have seen ppl on here that did great and a few that needed backup. Just to be safe keep a phone nearby and ppl in case you need them. Keep phone number s handy. Good luck with your surgery and keep updating your progress. Allie

VSG to RNY Revision. Anyone?
Hey , I had severe reflux before my sleeve in October 2016.After surgery only 6 weeks of relief from the reflux and then it was way worse than before to the point of taking 10 pills a day instead of 2. I am currently waiting for approval from my insurance companies for the RNY revision surgery and was just diagnosed with barrett's esophagus due to the reflux getting soooooo much worse. I can't wait to get the surgery done and praying for approval. Congratulations on your journey and your surgery appointment. Keep updating us on your progress. Oh i did lose 87 lbs the first year but gained 22 back. Still fighting to get the extra back off. Allie in SC

May 30th surgery!!
Hey momof2, I had sleeve done 2 1/2 years ago I was worried about coming out of recovery in excruciating pain but I wasn't. It was incredibly easy for me and I was walking around the halls within 2 hrs.No major issues at all. I could of stayed 3 days because I have 2 insurance companies but i went home by 2pm the next day. No problem getting up and down from my bed. You'll do fine. Good luck with your journey and i will look forward to your updates. Allie in SC
