  1. Alex, Omg seems like you have been to hell and back!! So sorry you have had so many problems. Why on earth would they leave the open incision? Did they think they were going to have to go back to Operating room?? Have you had complications from this surgery? I am having RNY revision surgery on July 16th from my sleeve surgery 0ct 25th 2016.I have to have it because my GERD has gotten so much worse than it was before the sleeve surgery. I didn't know you could have the bypass reversed. Good luck with your new journey and you don't look like you need help with weight loss anymore. Allie in SC
  2. Good luck with your journey and your surgery. My best friend has been 2 ltrs.of diet Pepsi every day. My biggest concern is that I can't drink before, during or right after eating. Not sure how we are going to accomplish taking so long to eat so little food at each meal knowing that it's going to be cold way before you get finished. Surgery is scheduled for July 16th
  3. I got mine when I had sleeve surgery before I left hospital
  4. Yes your surgeon office should give you one with no problem
  5. Barring complications I was told expect about 3 hours.
  6. Yeah my surgeon knew I had reflux but said he thought sleeve surgery was the best thing for me. Ummm no, he could not of been more wrong. But I know that anyone else who has it should never choose sleeve surgery because what I have discovered is that the acids have nowhere to go but back up. With the RNY revision surgery they bypass the small intestine so the acids and foods can't go back up. Im only 8 days from the surgery now. I will post after my surgery. Good luck Allie
  7. Omg don't worry you are gonna do great. Please text me and let me know how it goes. I'm eating everything I want that I know I can't have after surgery. Lol i am up and down with my weight. Lost 87 after sleeve have gained back 25 in the last year. I live in SC, My name is Allie and would love to hear from you. 803 665 0931
  8. I'm going to have RNY revision surgery from the sleeve surgery (three years ago October 25th due to severe reflux disease getting worse) on July 16th. Hopefully this will be successful. Allie in SC
  9. I agree that you probably have lost inches. Do your clothes fit a little different?? The first place I actually noticed loss was in my face when I had sleeve surgery almost 3 years ago now. Allie in SC
  10. You're doing great... I was sleeved almost 3 yrs ago in October 25th. But am having RNY revision surgery from the reflux being so much worse. I can eat way more than I probably should but still vomiting if I push it. I was sick on the 4th so every time I ate I thre it up. Anyway good luck with your journey and keep posting your success. Allie in SC
  11. Omg your doing great. My surgery is on July 16th and so glad to see how much everyone has lost. So inspiring. Allie in SC
  12. Congratulations that's awesome news. Hopefully you can give us some helpful tips that you have used during your journey. I had sleeve Oct 25th will be 3 years but am going on July 16th for RNY revision surgery due to severe reflux disease getting worse. I lost 87 with the sleeve the first year. Up and down ever since. I want to loose about 80 more pounds. Please message me your tips or text me 803 665 0931.I live in SC Allie
  13. Glad to see you lost way more than the chart shows.
  14. I weigh every day as well
  15. I hope that I am in the Most category, absolutely miserable with my reflux
  16. My severe reflux disease went from me taking 2 pills a day, to now almost 3yrs later taking a total of 10 pills a day, zofran for nausea and a GI cocktail 3 times a day after the sleeve surgery. So am going to be having revision surgery from the sleeve to RNY to hopefully get rid of the reflux. I had hernia repair when I had sleeve surgery and apparently it's reopened as well. Allie in SC
  17. That's awesome, my surgery is scheduled for July 16th at 8 am. So I am 5 days behind you. I'm concerned about not being put on pre OP diet.My surgeon office says I have had sleeve surgery so that I don't have to worry about pre OP diet this time. Just nothing after midnight the night before surgery. I am absolutely excited to hear how well everyone else is doing. Keep us posted and when it's my turn I will do the same. Allie in SC HW was 318 CW 225 PGW is 130 Height is 5'3 Age 63 (birthday is August 19th) Good luck with your journey and speedy recovery from surgery!!
  18. Hi Astrid, I'm not sure what the difference between UK and US is either lol. Anyway good luck with your journey as well and I think that while being independent is great like Mikey but it's nice to have some go to ppl that you know can relate to what you are going through. My revision surgery from sleeve to RNY is due to the reflux getting worse than it was before I had sleeve surgery. Although it's more surgery and a harder surgery according to my gastrointestinal doctor and my surgeon, it's apparently the only hope I have to fix the severe GERD (reflux disease). I'm so glad I have only 11 days to go but wound up at the Urgent care yesterday with 101.2 temperature due to a ear infection and am getting a summer cold. So I am now on a ZPak of antibiotics and cold medicine trying to kick it before surgery. I am not about to reschedule if I can do anything fo avoid it. Have a great weekend. Allie
  19. Thanks for the reply. Lol I have several things to get use to cold food as well as not drinking when I eat I can't imagine how I am going to accomplish that. I drink continuously. Lots of things to work on.
