  1. I love this thread. I can't wait to upload pics but I'm at work. I came here late and didn't find this place until two days after my surgery, and not this particular support group until at least a week after that. I think. So I feel kind of left out, and like I have missed alot.
  2. Yaaaay I am glad you are doing well
  3. Jaxbandster you are always so helpful and informative. My addiction is bread, and I can't really get it down so, thats kind of worked for me.
  4. let me tell you about my nutritionalist. She said not to eat or drink anything for two hours before and two hours afterwards. That is twelve hours a day that Im not supposed to drink. She also told me I should try to stay on liquids as long as possible after the two weeks because the liquid stage is where I will lose most of my weight. She also invited a student in with her and asked all the questions about my eating habits and I felt so uncomfortable.:wink2:
  5. jax and Angie congrats. You guys must fill great. haha....sorry.
  6. Before the band when I would drink the next thing I wanted was a HUGE carby meal, like a cheeseburger, or more often biscuits with lots of gravy, sausage. Anything bad for me. Now that I am banded I notice myself wanting to start smoking again and I have been fighting the urges, but its hard. What are you doing to cope. Going to the gym is a good way, but it sounds like you might need to take some more steps.
  7. Only 6lbs till twotorville
  8. My nutritionalist suggested unjury because it has very few calories and it comes in vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. It is disgusting.
  9. I know what you mean about head hungry-hungry. The first week or two people asked me if I was hungry and I said, well, no I'm not hungry, but my mouth is hungry. Its hard to explain to people I think
  10. Good luck with everything Mary, I know its a long process, but you can do it. Happy Journey
  11. I think you are all right and its a personal goal. I don't care what the scales say. I just want to fit in normal clothes and be as healthy as I can be.
  12. I am staying on plan today because I did yesterday and it felt so good.
  13. Hi! I am a switchboard operator by day, painter by night. I admire you for your musical inclination. OH, I wish I wish I wish I could play an instrument, I have tried but I have no talent for it. I can carry a note carefully, but as much as I love music I just can't produce it. Thank you for being brave and putting yourself out there. If you make the decision to get banded then I hope you are as happy with it as I am with mine.
  14. Those dogs are the cutest. I have to get a dog. I have been looking for the perfect one but we haven't found each other yet.
  15. I paid 4000 from savings, borrowed 4000 from my mom, and took out a loan for the rest.
  16. Look its tuesday and I'm down 1.5lbs already. Yay! Next weekend I will just have to lock myself outside where there is no fridge.
  17. I have noticed that we certain months and years have names, such as the shrinking violets and such, and I was wondering if anyone was interested in doing this for our month, year? If so do you have any name suggestions we could vote on (if anyone is interested.)
  18. looking good. and good for you for being brave.
  19. I am going to wait a little longer on salads but I hope that the salad problem doesn't last long for you. OH I looove salads.
  20. I am so happy for you. I bet that was a great feeling. Congratulations!
