  1. OOOh, I am the same way...I was banded 3/10, and I am slowly being able to eat more and more.....I haven't really tried anything that was against the diet, but I noticed that I can eat more....I want a salad soooo bad, but I have 2 weeks till regular food, so I'm trying to hold on!!!!!!!
  2. I was banded 3/10 and I'm trying to stick to the diet....I'm too scared to try the wrong foods. The longer you are banded the easier it gets....at least for me.
  3. I was banded on March 10, 2008, and will be able to eat "real food" on April 14, 2008. At work, we are having a team celebration and have a big breakfast on April 18th 2008. Just wondering.....Since I have been on full liquids, I haven't experimented with eating any "real food". What, in your experience is safe food to eat, and would should I stay away from? Any feedback is helpful! Thanks!!! (By the way....I haven't had a fill yet....First one is coming on May 6th....)
  4.:thumbup: I am stoked!!! I was banded on 3/10/08 and went to my Post Op appt today. I lost 16 pounds! I know that isn't a lot to some people, but for someone who has never really lost weight, it's a lot....I floated out the Dr's office. I am so motivated to eat right and exercise now....lol":tongue:
  5. you can get them at GNC, but they are super nasty....I had to mix them with something.....they are very handy, but grossss!
  6. Try Gas X Strips! They dissolve on your tounge. They are great!!!!!!
  7. IT GETS BETTER!!!!!!! I was banded on 3/10 and I felt the same way, but as time goes on and the pain goes away you start getting used to everything....I mean it's hard when the cravings hit, but everything you described is exactly how i felt in the first few days. But believe me, it gets better.....
  8. i was banded on 3/10. I love soda, so when i do need some, I put a lot of ice in a small cup, put a little soda in, and let it kinda water down. I dont recommend drinking too much all the time. I sometimes put some in a medicine cup and drink only that much and I'm good. It doesn't hurt me....
  9. i am 6 days Post Op and today i had the biggest craving for soda...I found that if i get a small cup and put lots of ice in it and let the soda water down a bit, its okay to drink. I didnt have any probs. I love the burn of the soda. But I do drink diet and very little. A 2 liter will probably last weeks...
  10. OOOhhh...I am 6 days Post Op, and I was dying for soda....But I thought my stomach was gonna explode if I drank some. So, my mom told me to just put a lot of ice in a small cup and just sip it...Kinda let it water down.Mannnn, I think that was the best drink I have ever had!!!!!!
  11. I think you need to call your doctor. The gas is pretty normal, but not going to the bathroom for days isn't. I would get to the dr asap.
  12. I had my LB put in on 3/10 so that makes me 6 days out. If you do all your protein, you shouldn't feel hungry. And I do 6 small meals instead of just 3. Another thing I noticed is that ppl are put on the mushies at all different times. I did 3 days of clear liquds right after surgery, then mushies for the next 5 weeks. All that to say you protein should keep you full.
  13. I'm noticing that a lot of you are on liquids only BEFORE being banded. Does that make a difference? My Dr did not say that I needed to do liquids BEFORE being bandd, but I will be on liquids only for 5 weeks after surgery. He says that I can do Carnation Instant breakfast, as well as Slim Fast shakes. I'm kinda nervous now.....I'm being banded on 3/10/08.:confused2:
