I'm sure there is an explanation. I have not changed anything. Still working out, walking, same diet. It has be Water weight or something. I am not getting discouraged. I'm at 14 weeks and very happy with my results so far.

I had a band to bypass revision on October 4th. I'm happy with my progress. have had a couple of stalls which typically last just over a week so I'm used to them now. my weight loss definitely looks like a set of steps. I'm just short of 2 months post op now. I'm doing at least 10,000 steps every day with no exceptions. I am getting all my Protein in most days (still do about 1/2 Protein shake every day) and in the last week have been getting 80 oz of Water in most days (almost half is usually consumed in the evenings after dinner). I haven't found a food yet that doesn't work (steak is awesome) but i find it has to be freshly cooked, dryer leftover meat is pretty much a no go. I'm sticking to a pretty low carb diet which is i think a big contributor to my loss so far, which has been faster than I typically experience. hoping to be at my goal by summer, but we'll see what my body puts up with. I started as a size 18 and just wearing size 16 jeans today. looking forward to onderland when i should drop into a size 14 pant. already fitting into my size 14 dresses.
I've been tracking so here are my stats:
    2 week pre-op diet 16 lbs lost
1st month post-op just over 16 lbs lost
2nd month post-op likely to be 14 lbs lost
that is a total of almost 46lbs as of today.
    pre-op 260, sw 244, current weight 214.6

I had my operation on 10/11 - Yom Kippur. I called it my own personal day of atonement. Things are going very well, way better than I expected. Since I began the program the first week of June this year, to today, I am down 109 lbs. I am back to eating regular food. I had no complications and no side effects worth mentioning. I figure I pegged the needle on the Good Things scale, and am very grateful for that.
It is hard to say if I have more energy yet. I am pretty sure I do. My wife says I do. But, I keep pushing with more and more exercise, etc, so I am pretty well whupped by the end of the day.

Wow, I woke up to some amazing comments, thanks everyone!! I'm glad I can inspire a few folks.
@@Heather I I've been focused on intake and increasing my activity level overall. I'm a pretty active person outside of structured exercise. That being said, I'm definitely 'soft' and pudgy all around and need to get some toning in. I'm just really horrible at that. I need to find something that I love to do and can stick with because my will power in going to the gym is null.
@@Jersey4sexy You can do it!! You are starting at a lower BMI so your skin will probably bounce right back It depends on the elasticity of your skin, body type, and age. If you're still in your 20s or 30s, you're in luck -- your age will significantly help. As for what you will eat after surgery, there is a lot of information in this forum about that. Look at the pre and post surgery section for help, but ultimately, you'll follow your surgeon's eating plan.

I had my VSG on 10/26/2016 and I am experiencing the same thing. I think a lot of people are calling it the 3rd week stall. Just keep doing the right thing and I'm sure that it will start coming down again.

Sounds like you just got lucky to me. My recovery was not terribly difficult either. After day 3 I could basically gulp Water and never had issues getting my fluids or Protein down with the exception of a day here or there. I also went off pain meds on day 3 and I have yet to vomit even once. I think recovery goes well for a lot of people but we just don't hear those stories as much since people are much likelier to post or ask questions if something isn't going right.

I would say that you are not getting enough food or nutrition to keep up with being on your feet so much. Your body is still healing. What stage are you in on your plan? There needs to be food/puree/liquids added to your daily grind.

The journey is long, hard, and sometimes overwhelming, but don't let those things deter you! I've been at this 33 months on the 11th. Lost 322 pounds to date. 254 of that on my own. I have about 80 to go till I can immediately start plastics.

    Stay strong all!!

No please don't do this. This is a bad road to go down and could turn into a real eating disorder.
You are still manufacturing saliva and stomach acids when you put food in your mouth, and it is highly unlikely that every molecule of food is spit out, so some liquefied food is still swallowed. You're not saying what you're chewing/spitting out, but it still is dangerous if only because you're using poor coping methods right out of the gate and you should do your very best to throw out all the bad habits now so you don't continue trying to find cheats that will end up sabotaging your success.
It also is cheating your doctor's orders for your diet he laid out for you. If you are struggling, please contact your doctor and explain what you're doing and ask for help.
But do please back away from this. It isn't good for you. You're trying to become healthy and learn how to eat correctly. This is not a healthy way to go forward.
When you are feeling really desperate, have a glass of ice cold Water, try some sugar free pops or Jello, or even a Protein shake. If your diet allows other stuff, by all means go to them, but do your very best to stick to what your doctor said at the phase you're in.
I know how hard it is - really, really really I swear. But you have so much awesome to look forward to and you can make it without doing things like this. You are totally worth the hard work and effort. Please stay strong and do your best to stick to your doctor's diet without cheating. You can do this!!

Hey, your body is still trying to move that huge mass around on a fifth of the fuel. And because it senses you are starving.....it's trying to conserve energy.....hence ......tired.
Once things become a little more routine and balance out and you lighten the load some.......things will pick up.

Hi, I was sleeved on 10/26 & release the following day. Had no problem getting liquids down, gas was bad the first two days and after I was ok. Pain wise I don't have any just a discomfort on the two bigger incision. I'm move a lot more. I even went back to work monday 10/30 I have an office job (no lifting at all) the only thing is that I get so tired and by the end of the day I have no energy what so ever. As soon as I get home from work I take a nap. I've been doing ok on my liquids but still not getting my whole 64oz (it's so hard); and today I started the full liquid diet and I had a very hard time. I don't think my stomach liked the premier Protein shakes. I hope I have a better day tomorrow. If you guys have any advise of full liquid please let me know I could use some tips. It's getting boring.

Hello!! Sleeved - Oct 27th @ 12pm. Surgery day was really hard and painful - but forced myself to get up and walk around the room even in the middle of the night. Next day in the hospital i was up and walking laps around the entire floor. By the third day all of the CO2 had been released, and I haven't had any pain except for at the largest incision port (not even enough for me to take the pain meds). I am so grateful physically. Mentally- ; ( I hate Protein shakes!!! I hate liquids period at this point! With 14 days of only liquids, I just want to chew. I must admit, yesterday I did do the chew and spit out. That wuth reading alot of boards and people saying they went through the same and are feeling much better now helped relieve the insanity and depression I was starting to feel. Having such a harder time than I ever thought possible for me with getting Water in. I love Water, but like another poster, just want to gulp it down- but have already experienced the discomfort that that causes.

I'm not sure when you had surgery, but I can tell you that it's normal to not lose right away (or even to gain at first). I had surgery on going in to surgery I was 9 lbs down (due to the low carb diet). When I got home from surgery I had gained that entire 9 lbs back due to Water weight, etc.. They pump you full of liquids and your body is working to heal & adjust. Don't fret, the weight will start coming off. Don't worry about the scale right now, just worry about getting your Protein & fluids in and getting good meal habits/routines in place. The weight will come off. I'm three weeks out from surgery now and down 23 lbs. It will happen.

    Hello everyone,
I was sleeved on October 20th. I'm starting my 3rd day post-op, and feeling pretty good overall. I had a some nausea in the first 24 hours (especially during the 2 hour drive home from the hospital--miserable). I slept most of the following day and the next, but started feeling better by mid day on Saturday. I'm drinking as much Water and broth as I can get down and hoping to take a walk later today to get the blood flowing again.
Good luck to anyone who's still waiting to have their surgery this month. You'll do great!!!
