Ldyvenus got a reaction from Orchids&Dragons in Hair Loss
The good news is that it stops eventually. I'm pretty sure I lost 40% of my volume, it was quite shocking. I went the biotin/protein route, I doubt it did anything for me.
The surgery puts a large amount of your hair in to the shedding phase, it just takes a few months to all fall out. I would still trade half of my hair to lose 70 lbs. Any day. 😉

Start tracking immediately. Find out what you Resting Metabolic Rate is (google RMR calculator). Ask yourself if you are really hungry before you put it in your mouth. Portions should be no bigger than your palm, use little plates. Be accountable.

I'm a little over a year out. I always bounced up and down within a 5 lb. range. Before dropping a couple more pounds. I've tracked my weight on MFP from the start. There is definitely a pattern related to my cycle.

I've never had reflux issues in my life. If I miss one day of my reflux meds post sleeve, it's terrible pain. I am considering getting a revision. I've got a scope scheduled next month. If I could do it all over again, I would have gone straight to bypass.

Missing: my boobs are disappearing. I put on one of my bras today and it’s HUGE on me. LOL If found please return as I’d like them to remain and the fat to come off in another area!

I moved across the country and got a new job a couple months after my surgery. It worked really well for me. Nobody at either job knows anything about my surgery.

And the Mexico surgerees are always good for "My surgeon is better than Your surgeon"on their threads and Bill Yanez pops up more often then a demented toaster. "Look at my people in Tiajuana!"

OK listen, I don't think I'm the only one who feels a little drama-deprived lately. Can't we get any minor disagreements in one or two threads? Can't someone start a new and interesting sex or libido thread--or a cheating-on-the-spouse-after-surgery thread...or somepin'?
Help a chix out! You're killin' me!

Drop the toaster pastry, the sandwich, and the chips. Replace with an egg or two in the morning, tuna or chicken or other lean Protein at lunch, and a similar dinner. The lack of nutritionally dense food, especially protein, is probably making you hungry and slowing weight loss.

I have noticed more hair coming out lately, I was hoping to avoid this phase as well. As long as I don't get patchy, I'll be okay. 😨

Yes. I had my first attack about 6 months after VSG. I had it removed shortly after. I don't have any issues.

I think the better you are at sticking the plan, and making it a long term lifestyle change, the more weight you will lose.

Yes! I have a pair of "goal jeans" from 2002, that are a size 15. I can't quite zip them yet. I am now buying newer pants in size 10 - 14. It's weird, I keep taking the wrong size to the dressing room.

Fluffy...I'm an old fart. I have to laugh at myself when I need a translation to a hand gesture. I'm that clueless.
