Starving 6/7 days post op
"the sleeve shuts all that madness DOWN in 3.2 bites..." LMAO! This is exactly what I need.

Psychological test help
I would call the psychologists office and ask him for a more specific letter to be sent.

Psychological test help
Ask the insurance company exactly what they need.

Can I lie - hernia op?
My last few days was extremely awkward. I think the boss expects me back at work sooner because it's just hernia repair. He keeps saying, "see you in 2 weeks. " Even though the paperwork says 1 month. And literally everybody (co-workers and customers) asked me what I was going for. I hate lying, ick! But for the people who do know. Every single one has a story about how so and so got the band and gained all of their weight back now. You're dammed if you do, and dammed if you don't.

Appetite changes
I am hoping this happens to me, too. It would be a big help in the long run.

Not sure what to do... maybe it's a sign
Don't cancel! Take care of you. Do whatever is necessary to put yourself first. Find a way, and make it happen. If your husband is capable of driving than your son can miss 1 day of school (or 1/2 day). If your girlfriend will let him spend the night, send him over. When was the last time her ex came back and beat up everybody in the house? What is the likelihood of it actually happening on that one night, realistically? Focus on you, and make it happen.

3 weeks post-Op ... before and after
I smell a troll nearby. Perhaps one with a sister that uses the same bathroom?

Mexico Location's - Please Help
You can add Dr. Armando Joya to your list for $5000. I choose him because he has a Facebook page, and there are a few Youtubers who have documented their journeys. He doesn't aggressively promote himself... I communicate directly with his nutritionist. I also didn't like the idea of driving across the border. For around the same price, I can go enjoy recovering in Puerto Vallarta.

Regretting not having a good funeral

Telling kids?
I have been thinking about this with my surgery date getting closer. I have a 10 and 5 year old. My son told me that dad told him today. Lol, well I guess I don't have to worry anymore. Dad did a good job. I think the strange part will be mom disappearing for 5 days.

Can I lie - hernia op?
People ask. So now I'm keeping up with the lie. I hate lying, maybe personal would have been better in hindsight...

Pot opday two
Lol! Pain meds on board. Title confirms. Congrats!

January 2017 Sleevers!
I'm getting mine done in Mexico so I don't have one either. I think it just depends on your surgeon and pre op size. I have decided to do a 2 shake, 1meal diet for the last week and liquids for the last 48 hours before surgery. I'm not really sure where they put the laparotomy incisions. But the liver doesn't cover the stomach.

You look awesome!

Buyers Remorse?
The feelings are normal . It has been said that the sleeve is a tool to help you keep yourself in check. You are still ultimately in control. Good luck, hopefully you will feel better by the time you hit 199.

Self Payers in Mexico
I booked myself through Dr. Joya's nutritionist Nathalie. There is a quick form to fill out on the website.

Self Payers in Mexico
I will be going to Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta next month. It is $5000 for everything but the flight. I liked the idea of Puerto Vallarta because I don't have to drive across the U.S. border, I also got lucky with a non stop flight home.

Treated Differently After Your Surgery?
I have recently been on an airplane, and was given the "Oh please not next to me" look. It was a first for me, I can buckle without an extender, it hurt my feels. Other than that... I am pretty much invisible.

After care from Mx Surgery
My insurance has coverage for dietitian and psycologist. My plan is to make appointments with both, around the time I hit the mushy food stage. I would like to learn new coping mechanisms, and how to slowly change the whole family's eating habits.

Can I lie - hernia op?
I told work it was a hiatal hernia. The recovery is similar, although I hate my job, so I want at least 4 weeks off. I think 3 weeks is where people start to feel somewhat better.

Where is Lipstick Lady when I need her?
I hate this season too ESPECIALLY Christmas. I'd rather hibernate than deal with life! Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App I wish we had this option. I feel pretty down during winter, I would love to sleep it off.

So, two fat guys walk into a Taco Bell...

Is it just me?
Holy! Im glad I'm not the only one. I think of nervesomething and breast feeding and it kind of givestuff me the heebie jeebies.

Who is choosing to keep surgery a secret?
Work thinks it's a hiatal hernia. A few family members know the truth. I find it hard to lie, but I'm not really close to anybody at work, and I don't want any judgey stares or whispers.
