Ugh, forgot to say that I got a very sweet email from my boss today (after I'd updated him on my progress). He said that if I needed anything after my surgery to make sure to call him. Aww! (No, Plain, you perv....not that! He's like a brother to me! Skinny as my real brother too; the bastards!)

Posting to change the subject to ME. Yeah my PCP/GP sent my letter to the surgeon's office. The surgeon's office should be submitting my paperwork to insurance tomorrow or Friday. WOOHOO; doing happy dance! :thumbup: Go SickN, go SickN, it's yer birthday....... Oh and very late LOL on the Kool-Aid "Oh yeah" (Plain) Come to think of it, I'd like to give a nice hawaiian punch tho..... :biggrin: Ahem, to the Stalker of course. Yea, that's it!

He passed away last weekend (Saturday maybe?). Since I'm almost 42, 50 seems way too young. Plain could definitely speak to this more but I just don't think about people dying of pneumonia anymore. Just awful.

Susan - one of my gf's is training to do a full triathalon. (Um why?!?) She took off her jacket the other day and I was shocked at her arms. She's prob 5'2", maybe 100 pounds and you could see the veins in her arms. OMG I have no concept of that!!! She and her triathalon hubby are thinking about starting to try for a family sometime. I can't help but think they won't have enough fat!!! (Yes I'm JEALOUS!)

i'm confused - you can't do tech sales & travel b/c of the demands you have at home on the ranch? (that sounds so texas!) one of my gf's went back to work PT doing prescription sales - she had sales experience from before she had kids.

Thank you so much for the response! I just did the stalker thing and looked at your blog. Clearly one can tell that you have done SO well! I need to remember to take sideways pics too; they're major! Ha - What stupid thing did I notice...that you can see your eyes more clearly when you smile! Of the 900 reasons to hate having my picture taken, that one is up here! I have the chubbage cheeks and my eyes look like slits when I smile. I clearly need to go to bed, huh? Congrats Jaime and keep up the good work!

I think now that surgery is getting closer to being a reality, I'm just wigging myself out. The stupid DS thread about how LB should be taken off the market b/c it doesn't work (esp for the SMO/MO) just freaked me out. Screw them and their stinkiness.

Froggi - you're not worried that you'll eat around the band or do stupid shit we've done to get to where we are now? I am in NO WAY saying that major weight loss cannot be achieved; I'm just afraid I won't/can't, that's all. My insurance paperwork should be submitted this week so I'm sure this is just a case of cold feet! I just have my hopes up so much that I don't want to fail. I am beyond sick of being obese! Jamie has done fabulously well as have WASa, Jachut, and others at goal whose names I cannot at 11:27pm come up with! I'm not even scared of PBing, sliming, et al. Again, I just don't want to fail! I've always been scared of the GP/RNY b/c I've know of 2 people that died from it. One of my gf's locally was the poster child for RNY until she started gaining weight back this year. :-X The band, to me, just seems less scary. (Yes I'm a chicken-sue me!!!)

OK Froggi - stop posting OH threads! Now I'm getting paranoid that I won't lose any weight having band surgery as I am MO!!! For the first time, I'm wondering if I'm doing the right thing...

I too have a magic wand friend. Thankfully she doesn't know about DS (that I know of)! She's the kind that only eats once or twice a day and "wants a pill that will tell her cells to let go of the fat." I'm bigger than she is and I'M the one telling her she needs to eat healthier options more often, etc. I wish I had a magic wand too; I'd be skinny and married to George Clooney!
