  1. I briefly thought about an English degree when I was in undergrad. Sometimes I wish I had but in this instance, I am so glad I didn't! Libra-did you, at least, enjoy my inclusion and definition of i.e.? :-) I learned one of my pet peeves while studying for the GMAT. Farther is distance whereas you further your career. People ALWAYS mess that up! I yell at the Weather Channel people all the time. It's a sickness really. (Hush, Plain)
  2. Priceless!!! What a visual; lawd. I can already tell you aren't as mentally challenged as Peter tho! As we say in the south, "bless his heart."
  3. I'd forgotten about that one; good job! It's nice to see I'm not the only grammarian freak! There's also: your and you're Your (possessive) lapband allowed for weight loss. You're (as in "you are") looking great! Oh, forgot the Southern (American) contraction as well: it's y'all as in a contraction for you all.
  4. And they all drive in Atlanta!
  5. omg a week? no offense, sugah, but are you CRAZY?!? i've only had 2 thankfully but i can't imagine going a week. i shudder at the thought.
  6. very valid point and thanks!!! Froggi - my find was NOT poop, tyvm!
  7. UGH, major sympathies that is so exciting!!! i'm jealous
  8. no worries!!! glad to have woken you up! Jachut - and she never learns, does she? There used to be a group of us that went to lunch every day. 4 of the 5 used "shoulda went" daily. Yes, I was one correcting all the time. How does that not make their teeth hurt to say?!? (Yes I am an anal-retentive Virgo.) Caveat: I will admit to having some issues with with I/me! i.e. (that is) Jachut went to the store with Susan and me.
  9. I know the English language can be tough but I am begging here!!!
  10. Are the poop responses for me b/c if so, I don't understand them!
  11. OK anyway - go Friday, go Friday! Posting to say that I found a big old error ($26M) today that my old group (work) made. In my old job, we worked like major major hours and got zero respect or kudos. So there's kind of a new management structure and they just made a MAJOR error that again, yours truly found! Yea just had to gloat. It's not nice but it sure is satisfying!
  12. I guess I'm lucky b/c (besides family) I don't get comments on my weight. I do know, however, that I have the rep of not putting up with shit and I hope that continues! O'course I also bust on myself before others have the chance to. My advice is to tell anyone that comments either way about being too big, too small, losing too much weight is that "you can worry about your body as I will worry about mine." Say it with a good passive-aggressive smile and you'll be all good!!! Plus, it's flat out no one else's business what anyone else weighs, tyvm. PS - How the HELL does anyone know if anyone's picture or weight loss is real? That is the dumbest thing I've heard on here. Der.

Ha, that would be funny! I personally haven't dated too weird but one of my gf's went one one date with a guy that had a checklist! One question I remember was: would you vacuum while I was watching football? Huh?!?
  14. Oh shit - that was priceless!!! Aww now, Plainer, don't whine - it so isn't you! AND I'M WITH Y'ALL ON THE FRIDAY CELEBRATIONS!!!!!
  15. Discovery Health - there were 3 episodes on last night back to back. I put it in my Tivo so I don't have to remember! I love Tivo SO much.
  16. Ha! No kidding. Good thing he lives out in eastern BFE, Texas!
  17. <shaking head> Such a bad influence!!! And um she has taken the offer yet. We'll be friends either way, you sillies!
  18. Aww, no problem and you're welcome! re: steps - each surgeon is different. I went to the seminar and then made an appointment w/ my surgeon. At that appointment, they gave me a packet of information that included a checklist of sorts. I've completed the following: - psychologist - nutrition class - pulmonologist - PCP (incl. my TSH levels b/c I have thyroid disease) I also provided a 5 year weight history. Oddly enough, my surgeon's office sent off my packet today!!! WAHOO! I haven't been successful regarding tickers and photos in my signature so unfortunately you're on your own with that one! Good luck!
  19. LOL!!! Now there's an idea I hadn't thought of!
  20. Posting to say: One of my bestest friends at work just got an offer with another company. :-( Waahhhhh
  21. So for today's topic: Did anyone watch "Big Medicine" last night? There were 2 episodes of cutting off the excess skin. One woman - it was SO major. Whew
  22. Plain - you are so wrong!!! Oh but I definitely must admit I laughed pretty dog gone hard!
  23. OMG you weren't being dramatic; you were being serious. That's very scary. :tongue_smilie: What kind of store is open at the butt crack of dawn like that?
  24. And lord knows, YOU would know!!! Seriously, I've known him for almost 6 years and we've always just been like siblings. He's married with 2 young children. I'm not going thru all this to share a man. OH HELL TO THE NO! (O'course I'm too selfish to have shared a man ever!) <snap> <pointing at Plain> Now you behave!
  25. Sorry Frogster - I'm lucky to have a more lenient insurance provider methinks. I just watched 2 episodes of "Big Medicine" and am pumped again (after my brief chicken shit episode from Sunday)!!! I went to dinner w/ my triathalon friend and of course I was hot in the tight restaurant booth and she had to bring a sweater not to freeze. Frustrating! So many reasons why I'm SO ready! And what's the last and most fun-nest to me? To prance around around at work in front of the staring Stalker. <insert evil laugh>
