Ugh, MEN!!!

So completely off-topic.....(I'm still pre-banded and BIG.)

There's a guy at work that has been flirting with me for a couple years and has never asked me out. I've gotten tired of the mixed signals and have kicked him to the curb only to have him weasel his way back into my life. He knows that I have feelings for him so it's not like he's clueless (well he is, but hello).

So what I don't get is why keep playing the game with me and emailing, IM'ing, etc if he's not interested. If I told most people to take a long walk off a short pier, it would hairlip hell (southernism) before I ever heard from them again, right? Not dingbat! I've been real nice-nothing; I've been a total bitch-same. Tho ignoring him does seem to bother him. 0:-)

Currently, we're in a non-speaking timeframe. I'll catch him watching me in our cafeteria, etc but I just ignore him. What the hell?!? :)

Well just had to get that off the chest. Hopefully I'll get some responses but even if I don't, I've lowered my BP.

I heart LBT and this great forum!

Hey SNT!

How's the trip? Flight go okay?

You need to just keep ignoring him. You said yourself he's a dingbat. Besides with all this back and forth on his end, you don't want to get involved with a co-worker. Not usually a good idea.

Just keep reminding yourself your better than all if his drama. Hang in there!

Talk to you later!

Hey heartfire!

Well there was a storm in Atlanta so my 1.5 hr flight from Chicago turned into 6 hours on the plane. My butt was numb with a capital B!! ha

I agree about dingbat. I just don't get why he can't leave me alone! <banging head>

How has your weekend been? It's pouring here right now; we definitely need it!

SNT, I'm sorry you're bothered by my creepy starings....but honestly, when I'm watching you in the company caff, and my hand is moving around in my front pocket, I'm merely looking for loose change. What'd you think I was doing? *laughs crazily*

SNT, I've been there, and it sucks. The truth is probably that he likes the attention you give him. You said he knows you have feelings for you, and that's a nice boost for anyone, so my guess is that he relies on attention from you to keep stroking his ego. If you've gone through periods of ignoring him then warming back up to him, why should he think you mean it now when you tell him to #@%* off? Unfortunately, if he were interested in more than that, he probably would have acted by now. I'm sorry it's frustrating you. You deserve better than that, and I hope you find it.

Oh, and Go Vols!

I agree with Jen on this one! I think he is just into the attention and maybe not you. Sounds horrible, but guys can be completely lame. Ignore him and make him do some work! If he is REALLY interested he will come around!

Thanks, BBK and Ninja! I saw his nerdy ass yesterday and just looked right through him; always fun! I just so hope he tries to sniff around once I start losing weight. "Uh and you are?"

Plain - I didn't mean your pocket pool self. It's uh "cute" when you do it; yea that's it! Clearly this guy has nothing to play pocket pool with!

And Jen - finally a Vols fan on here! Yea!!!

boys are dumb and yes I mean boys they act like them  lol

lol you iggied him hehe chat lingo

Have you ever actually been on a date with him or just flirted? My mama says that "if a guy really likes you, you can't get him off your doorstep". If he's jerking you around in the "flirtation" stage, can you imagine what it would be like to actually be in a relationship with him?! Raise your standards and ignore the snot out of him.

ROFL; thanks Twisty! We've been out but not technically a date, I don't guess. He's VERY good at walking the fence. I just don't get why he gave me SO much attention if he wasn't interested. I just don't like to not understand! ;-)

I can't wait to be fiiiiiine and STILL ignoring him!

Basically, its harassment. Doesn't matter what feelings are involved. Keep a list of everything he's sent you and then if you really want to be rid of him for good, tell him to his face you will be making a formal complaint of harassment if he doesn't stop. Its up to you if you actually do or not.

can you tell one of your co-workers that you're interested is someone

else at the same time you are ignoring him? I have done that. A guy knew I liked him so I told everyone at work that I met someone new.

I am sure it got back to him, because all anyyone at this place did was gossip about each other.
