RIP Bernie Mac

I'd read that he was sick but to DIE of pneumonia at 50 is just shocking to me. I'd also read that he was doing well on his treatment. I'm just sick for his family.

The first time I ever saw him was in "Kings of Comedy." I remember just laughing my fool head off and wondering how I'd never heard of him (or Cedric for that matter).

So tragic; his great smile and humor will definitely be missed.

Wow! I had not heard this!! That's sad. But.......the cynical respiratory therapist in me (not in that way, ya sickos, I'm referring to myself) is muttering that there is probably more to the story than is being released to the public.

He passed away last weekend (Saturday maybe?). Since I'm almost 42, 50 seems way too young. Plain could definitely speak to this more but I just don't think about people dying of pneumonia anymore. Just awful.

There are almost too many comorbidities that could possibly have come into play here. The obvious first thoughts are cardiac, pulmonary, and / or immune system co-morbidities. I can totally understand how the family wouldn't want to put out a specific medical history.....but it's true that there almost certainly was something else going on with the guy. Kinda sad, still.

He was a fine comedian. I enjoyed his television show. He seemed to have a lot of kindness, a lot of soul. I was shocked and saddened when I heard that he had died at the age of 50.
