I know it's hard to be patient, but........be patient. Now is the time for you to work on your habits of eating very slowly and chew,chew,chew. Also, it's important to eat only until you feel "not hungry" (as opposed to "full"). Hang in there, it'll get better.

ABelew, it's fine. Very little pain involved with the surgery. The band is light years ahead of the old bypass procedure. I was back to work in 4 days with minimal discomfort. There is an entire thread devoted to what to expect on surgery day (try looking under the "general" forum, or using the saerch feature). Bottom line, you'll do fine....no worries!

Some of the more common comorbiditeis are high blood pressure, diabetes, joint or back pain (related to weight), etc. If it all comes down to the sleep study, try and sleep on your back as much as you can. That'll make the test score out "worse".

Relax, ladies! It's all good.....easier said than done, I know. The surgery is a breeze with very little pain (only some minor discomfort). It'll be over before you know it and you'll both be on the road to skinnyville, LOL.

Hopefully one candidate will step up and divulge a plan to wean us off fossil fuels (and not one o' those 50 year plans, either.).

His proposal gives full benefits for a soldier that has 3 years of service and has seen combat. Other military (non-combatant jobs) would have benefits graded to years of service. BJean, that's true. You aren't writing to convince me. And I respect your political choices....that's what makes America great. My point was, if you don't have some supporting facts, and paint your opinion in the vaguest strokes, then the arguement is weakened. I'm aware that some people won't even look at facts in elections. Some vote straight party lines...some vote whatever pecularity strikes them (ie, Obama is handsome, McCain served in Vietnam, ect). So please don't take things personally. I wasn't trying to pick on you as much as play devil's advocate. On a totally different note, I heard McCain is favoring a contest to improve the electric car battery, and also wants to give a $5000 tax credit to anybody that buys a hybrid. Finally, somebody in Washington may be starting to get it. Also, that Obama seal thing is for real. I heard on the news tonight that many people complained that it was too similar to the presidential seal, so Obama's people say they're gonna scrap it (which, BTW, I wouldn't consider a flip-flop).

Just my $.02 chickie....I think that many people struggle with the band, or lose more slowly than they could, because they have never learned the difference between physiological hunger and head hunger. The band works great for helping with physiological hunger, but doesn't do anything for head hunger. Example: An emotional eater might crave Snacks during times of stress. Is he eating because he is hungry? Nope. Therefore the band would do very little to stop him from eating when he shouldn't. There is restriction....but counting solely on the band to prevent you from overeating instead of using common sense is akin to counting on your seatbelt instead of using your brakes.

Flag code says people should place their hand over their heart when the anthem is played (excepted from this are uniformed military personnel). Go to any sporting event. As soon as the anthem is played, hands cover hearts and hats come off. Now do I believe Obama was deliberately thumbing his nose at the tradition? Nope. Likely he was distracted (I mean...the dude's running for prez...he has to have some things on his mind), but the picture is kinda hard to defend.
