  1. I caught the reference Fanny. Roses always cracked me up when it came on the radio. Roses really smell like poo-poo poo Outcast really put some thought into those lyrics?!?
  2. I didn't see this particular episode....In fact, I don't watch Oprah, but my wife does, so I've seen some of her shows. It seems to me that Oprah tends to agree whole-heartedly with whatever guest she has on the show at the time, no matter how looney or "out there" they are. I guess my point is that if the doctor on her show wasn't really into WLS, then I can see how Oprah wouldn't be into WLS either....until a new "authority" comes on later that supports WLS. Then Oprah'll probably do a 180 degree turn.
  3. Not so misleading, Mac, IMO. I think most people realize that "easy removal" is a subjective term when talking about a surgery. I mean, truly easy removal would be if the docs installed a zipper up the abdominal wall. But compared to rerouting or removal of digestive organs, the band IS easily reversed. Having said that, I do think there is a huge instructional gap in the information that different surgeons give. I personally know that "safer" does not equal "zero risk", but I can see how the general public could confuse the two if the doc didn't explicitly spell things out
  4. Ladies, this OP was clearly all about me, and my stalker-y habit of peeking into the powder room. Carry on....
  5. I wanna talk about my favorite toys: Action figures. The best ones - what's that? Oh! Sorry, wrong type of toy.

Hey Ron. You just have to get right back on that horse again. Start fresh right now by eating the right foods in the right amounts, and exercise, exercise, exercise!! You can do this, man!!
  7. Well.....of course I'm going to have to check the powder room. Does any powdering ever go on in there?

That's right baby. I'm bringing the crude!! I specialize in crude innuendo, puns, fake farting noises, and all other form of "simpleton" humor. No thanks necessary....it's what I do *cue Superman music*
  9. "moider" = Curly's (from the 3 stooges) accent for the word "murder", am I right? On the topic of muscular women with veiny arms: Ew!
  10. I didn't really see old fecal stains, but I did like it when she said "most people would give their eyeteeth to look like me", or something like that. Just the arrogance of it. DS'ers are too easy to bait. They swallow it every time.....It's like kicking an anthill....they swarm out all chaotic touting some study that supposedly states how the DS is so superior to every other surgery available. In the end, I'm happy with my band. I'm not going to try and persuade anybody which WLS surgery they should have, that's up to them.
  11. Women of LBT unite!! You can't let this example of sexism go unprotested!! Doff your tops and let the world know that "the man" can't hold you down!! PS- somebody take pictures. Thnx.

Yeah, rub it in his face...Well, metaphorically speaking, of course.
  13. Tapshoes, you rule. Plain and simple. Let's say hypothetically that I work in an allied health profession where one needs to licensed by the state before they can be employed. Hypothetically, I might have been stunned to learn that a new graduate had neglected to get a state license because he "didn't know I needed one". People always / never fail to amaze me.

Wow! I had not heard this!! That's sad. But.......the cynical respiratory therapist in me (not in that way, ya sickos, I'm referring to myself) is muttering that there is probably more to the story than is being released to the public.
  15. Damn! And I would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!!
  16. It crackes me up the most when the DS'ers say in one post "I hate it when they [lapbanders] say their surgery is the best, when we're just spreading information".....but then they turn around and compare the lapband with being in a building that's on fire?!? That's too funny. Also, I love the exchange between the 2 DS'ers and the lady that was trying to say "why not live and let live". She'd post a point and be all reasonable, and they would come back with "Damn, I'ma fixing to stuff my face with gravy". That whole exchange made me laugh soooooooooo hard I had tears rolling. But I think that perfectly symbolizes how the DS'ers are (at least on OH). Can you picture it? A roundtable discussion on WLS: Lapbander - Well, there are some rules with the band RnY'er - We've made some dietary changes as well DS'er - Gravy!! Ima eat ice cream with syrup!! Lapbander - Uh......ok, but anyway, about the band DS'er - I eat fried mayonaise and lose weight! Gah! Porkchops!! and so on for the entire length of the debate

I'm fully public!! I have nothing to hide (except for some bodies in the backyard).
  18. That's what I'm talking about!! Me and Gweniper vs. LBT in the event of Olympic-watching......We're gonna get the gold, Gweniper!!
  19. Posting to say: Hatas go home...the Olympics rock!!! *lifts shirts to reveal life-sized mural of American flag painted on prodigious belly* "U-S-A! U-S-A!"
  20. I couldn't see what they were protesting, but I totally support their right to dissent while topless.
  21. Just shows that you can never take genetics completely out of the question. Just like when somebody turns 100 years old. Inevitably, some reporter asks "What's the secret to your longevity".....then the oldster says "blah blah blah", when the more honest answer would be "Look at the average life expectancy graph. Can you read a bell curve? That's the secret to my longevity. By the way, I pooped my pants".
  22. I think I went to school with that guy!!
  23. Wait for it.....wait for it.......Happy Bday Froggi and Mac!!
  24. You mean there's more to the band than what the commercials say? I always assumed it was powered by devil's magic...
  25. Di, living well is the best revenge.
