Even tho they told me not to bring meds I brought Gas x tablets. I am only 7 days out of my procedure. I also brought cotton pajama pants and some lip balm.

It won't always be like this. The difficulty drinking is caused be swelling and inflamation, which will get better and better. Once you are healed, you will be able to drink Water without discomfort.

Yay. I get to home today. I have zero appetite. I have to force even Water down. The pain is much better than what it was and the nausea is starting to pass. I'm looking forward to the next year. My goal is 175. I currently weigh 292. I am 5' 11. So happy to have finally joined you all on the losers bench

I was APPROVED!!!!! So excited. But I found out that the coordinator for my Dr. is also the scheduler and if anyone has read my posts she isn't the easiest to work with and not the nicest person.
Wish me luck for a surgery date soon...

My MIL-to-be took this picture at a family outing today. This is the first time I've really been able to see the progress. First picture was taken September 2015 about 280lbs. The second was taken today (I'll be 3 months post op 4/18) 215.0 lbs. Wearing the same shirt in both pictures... I'm speechless and so glad I did this.

Yay! I finally got my surgery date. It will be May 2nd. I'm so excited/nervous. My surgeon doesn't require a liquid diet, just high Protein low carb for 2 weeks prior to surgery. He also informed me he does an EGD type test while you are under to check for leaks so you don't have to drink the nasty stuff to check for leaks after!
