I can't believe how much has changed in 3 months. At my follow up, I thanked my surgeon for changing my life.
I still have a long way to go, but I'm trying to Celebrate every victory.
This is the same dress in both pics, but now is far to big and before I had to wear serious shape wear.

Ok so I started the process on January 26. Had my first EGD done and then started my pre op diet so I would be ready after the results came in. The week before my surgery my results came back with some disorder that I could not have the surgery. I was insistent that something could be done. So I was put on high dose nexium for 30 days and then a second EGD was done. It showed I was healing so I was cleared! The whole time I stayed on a kind of diet so I could avoid stomach acid flare up. Finally I got a date but it was still 3 weeks away. But I stuck to it. And when the surgery date came my surgeon Had not seen me in almost 90 days. When he saw I lost 30 pounds on my own he said I would be great after surgery. It has been a bitch but I have lost 70 pounds total.
    Starting weight 372
    Surgery date 4/25/16
    Weight 339
    Today 6/25/16 weight 302
I am 8 weeks post op. So I still weigh my food. Drink my Protein. Don't eat 30 before or after.

I have a go pro 4 black. It is the one that will shoot 4k video. It is a great video camera but I have 5 64gb memory cards and 6 batteries to get me through a day of vacation. It will also do.still photos but because the angle is so wide you will have problems with straight lines being curved. Some examples below.
I kept the horizon straight but the parking lot and barriers in front of me are straight as well.

The horizon is curved in this one.
this was also shot with the go pro and I figured out the perfect angle to avoid any curves other than my wife's.

This is why I bought it though, this is a screen capture from me swimming in the Pacific Ocean with dolphins.

Hi krakow57, you strange little thing...
My first thought was simply, drink tea...
    Actually, that's a lie...
    My first thought was "Don't pretend you're a spitter krakow57. You're a swallower fro..."
    Well, you get the idea...
So yes, you could start drinking tea...
Or, you could move to a country where they don't have a sense of humour..
    I have a few suggestions...
But I think i'll keep them to myself at this point...
As far as your second question goes (pushy thing, aren't you..)
I think if you REALLY want to stop the laughter, stop looking at my naked selfies page...

I made the decision to not tell people. My family does not believe in the surgery. I've been heavy my entire life and hitting 40 has caused some major concerns. I started at 236 had surgery 4/13/16 and now 6 weeks later & 40 pounds lighter I couldn't be happier. We all hear just diet and exercise. Easier said than done sometimes. I now pay very close attention to what I eat and I walk at least 5 miles a day. Surgery is not an easy answer and sometimes people don't understand that. Best of luck with surgery and the family. ????

Naw, bro. I had my back scratcher show up in time to drive me home.
The absolute best thing I took with me into the hospital was a sense of humor. There were some funny moments that stay.
First off......you'd think in the bariatric ward of the hospital one could expect some larger gowns for the patients.
    Nope.
All us fat folks were shuffling around with our arses hanging out the back. Just want I wanted to see and show as I was making my laps.
I got 'em back, though............I turned my gown around and rocked it backwards.
    Damn rite.
Those pain meds & the open fronted breezy gowns had a weird effect, too...... Woodrow Wilson marched on proudly ahead of me on my laps.

/I am about three months post op. I had stalls, or slow-going weight loss ( 1-2 lbs per week on average). Over the week or two, I found my weight and shape changing again. I attribute coming off a plateau to increasing my Protein, watching my fat intake, and increasing the vigor in my workouts. I do interval training on the track, treadmill, or elliptical. I also try switching my diet and exercise out every few weeks.

I agree with everyone else. Don't give up. I have always been a sweets eater so I made the decision to not tempt myself. I don't think they will make me sick, I just know they won't really do much for my nutrition. Besides, there will always be cake, or other goodies so I know I can have them another day. I have seen people losing quickly while others are slow. It doesn't matter to me what everyone else does. My Dr and nutritionist are pleased with my results and so am I. Work on you, forget everyone else and yes, talk to a professional. Can't hurt.

I feel exactly the same. To me it's more about how I feel. The weight is coming off and will either drop quickly or slowly. Hey as long as the body's feeling good no need to fret.
