  1. I would have voted "HELL NO" if it was an option! I feel SO incredible, and I'm not even close to goal!
  2. ... what's a weepy rash? I get this too, under my boobs and apron area. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make it obnoxious. I didn't even think to try to buy anything for it, I was trying to keep it warm. These are great hints that I'm going to try. Also, this may be TMI, but it smells. I mean, you can't smell it normally, but if I touch the sweat or wetness, and snif (don't laugh, you know you've done it too!) :lovechoc: it stinks!
  3. I agree, now is a crucial time to be eating properly as important parts and cells are developing.
  4. I don't have a "phobia" per se, but I do really hate needles. That's why I always get my fills under flouro, there's no digging. I still hate fills, but they just pop and pop out and the whole event is over within moments. I would never get a fill without the flouro. There will be no "digging" in my body!
  5. I don't mind personal pics, but when they upload a million of the same type thing, that's excessive. And, the whole tattoo pic or several pics of your new haircut... I mean, it gets old. But to each his own. I just don't look at the pics anymore. I stick to the Before and After thread (although, that's turned into more words than pics- I thought it was supposed to be just pics)
  6. ha, I haven't seen that either, but you're so right on! LBT was my oasis during that phase, but it wouldn't be with that popping up!
  7. I like Palin as a person, I mean, she's right up my alley, but for the same reason I don't like Obama, I don't like Palin for VP... INEXPERIENCE. Of course, Obama is even worse because he's actually running for president.
  8. drstan- I don't know if you're a "troll" or not, but if you're sincere, I urge you to try reading more about lapband. It will help with hunger. But you need to eat the right things in the right way. Also, two fills? Some people it really works it's magic in two fills, for some, like me, it takes five. You really need to be working WITH your doctor. I promise they're not interested in you failing. After two fills, I still was hungry. Don't give up because you lack the patience and follow through. Giving up is what made you fat.
  9. I hope you guys aren't talking about this in front of your daughter, and that causes problems in and of itself. In my opinion, your husband does appear to just be worried. Although, he needs to know that if you eat too much, you can hurt yourself. And not eating all day is not healthy either, and doesn't make it so you can eat more in the evening. I think your daughter is old enough to understand some basics. That you and daddy are going to model good eating behaviors for her, even though you don't eat a lot, you eat the right things that are healthy. I would explain that mommy eats good things for her body, but unlike daddy and your little girl, she can't eat too much or it would hurt her.
  10. $45 isn't too bad for everything and for a higher quality.
  11. Thanks slim! Okay, so increments... I can work with that. My friend asked how many sizes I'd lost and I said I didn't know, I didn't want to ask how I would count! lol. I know it's silly, but oh well. I'm almost down below 300, I'm so excited! I can't believe this is actually happening for me. It's like I finally have a hold of my life and my body rather than it having a hold on me.
  12. Okay, when people talk about losing 4 sizes or whatever, I don't know how that's measured. Maybe someone can help answer my question... Is it based on the numbers? Like if I started at a 30 and am down to a 24, is that 6 sizes? Or is it based on the sizes you see in the stores, so that would be 3 sizes? (28, 26, 24). I know this is a silly fundamental question, but I don't know the difference or how to tell what I've done. I started at a 32/30 and I'm down to a 24. HELP! I love this room... ya'll are so awesome!

    hee hee... funny.
  14. Has anyone tried bleaching it?
  15. The plucking gets so old. It's like I'm plucking everyday! I can't imagine getting it waxed that often though, it would be too pricey. I keep a tweezer in my purse because you never know when you'll notice something.
  16. True, but I eat way more meat than I used to... I've made the decision to eat my protein rather than drink it, but because of it, I eat plenty of tuna, chicken, beef.
  17. "Elimination of the death penalty [in California] would result in a net savings to the state of at least tens of millions of dollars annually, and a net savings to local governments in the millions to tens of millions of dollars on a statewide basis." (Joint Legislative Budget Committee of the California Legislature, 09/9/99) Total cost of death penalty is 38% greater than total cost of life without parole sentences. (Indiana Criminal Law Study Commission, January 10, 2002) Since its return to New York in 1995, $160 million has been spent. The New York Daily News estimates that before the first execution takes place, $238 million will be spent. In addition to the funds required to try death penalty cases, the New York Department of Correctional Services spent $1.3 million to construct New York's 12-inmate death row and pays nearly $300,000 per year to guard the unit. (New York Law Journal, April 30, 2002) Not that this thread is about the death penalty, but if you're going to disagree, you should support it. Based on my own research on the death penalty I've found that the death penalty is not beneficial for several reasons, which I won't outline here because again, this thread is for abortion. I just get frustrated when people start YELLING about their beliefs, but don't know the facts. If you believe it based on emotion, I'm fine with that, but don't claim you're coming from a place of logic when you're not. No matter who is killing who for whatever reason (abortion, death penalty, murder) killing someone is not right.
  18. Wow, I'm so glad I don't think like that. BTW: to execute a person takes more money than if we just sentenced them to prison for life.
  19. When I was first banded I exercised religiously. Now, I've got so much going on in my life I just don't have time. I've changed some habits though, parking farther away etc... but I was loosing more when I was able to exercise. Although, I DO keep paying for the gym month after month!
  20. Mine is soaring. We live in a two bedroom apartment and pay 350 a month! It's never been below 200. And we're not crazy users. It's just high. I think last month they charged us 23 cents a kwh.
  21. I voted no. If I wanted to talk about other surgeries I'd go to another site. Like OH or something. Frankly, I like having a site where people understand the issues faced by lapbanders alone. I don't think it's an issue of people being wanted or not. I chose LBT because the entire site was dedicated to lapband. If it's not going to be that way, then there's nothing special about it compared to sparkpeople or OH, etc. Actually, when I saw the other boards had been posted, I stopped coming for awhile. I don't want to come on so much if it's a free for all.
  22. Wow, I think that's a bold statement. I don't know I know the statistics of men and their view on abortion, but I have met a fair amount of men who are pro abortion. I would think they would be more towards that side because then they don't have to go through the legalities of supporting someone they hadn't planned on.
  23. This sounds really interesting, thanks... I'll take a look when I get home! :tongue_smilie:
  24. I like being seperate. It makes it easier to find that way, less clicking. :tongue_smilie:
