LaMadam... I think a few people have gotten offended about the recent sex talks some of us have been having... Also there have been a few threads where people got their nose bent out of shape because we weren't talking about band issues. I think some of the newbies have come here assuming that 100% of what we talk about is Band Related... I have noticed a few people leaving because so and so offended them by presenting an arguement.... Really I was just majorly fuming on Friday... I took the weekend to cool down, but my thoughts are exactly the same... GUESS WHAT GUYS??? STILL NO PM's THAT I OFFENDED ANYONE??? I don't direct my comments at a particular person or try to be directly ugly to anyone... so I might not actually be offending anyone??? WOW!!!

You don't know how glad I am that I have somebody agreeing with me... Thought I might be the only one that felt that way.... :) WHEW!!!!

But we aren't physically in a room of 5000... (I know, I know... I like to debate what EVERYONE has to say) For EVERYONE's benefit... Just one question to those of you that agree with loopylou... Did your Dr. inform you that you would have to watch what you eat and work with the band? Just curious if you knew this before being banded? That was the first thing that came out of my Dr.'s mouth....

I started out with walking. Now I walk and do an exercise program on DVD called Slim in 6. Hope that helps.

Why is everyone so astonished that there are arguments going on? There are SO many different personalities on this board, we are bound to clash. I just want to scream because people are getting all defensive about petty things. Gimme a break!!!! This is about opinions and support... I will literally fall over if someone who doesn't want to argue comes into this thread and starts an arguement... I seriously want to go away from LBT because of the people that are offended by this little thing and that little thing... I think it is just great that you with lower BMI's were able to do this!!! You will never have to go thru the pain of having a 50+ BMI!!! Hats off to all of you for being so knowledgeable that you didn't want to become morbidly obese!!! (Wish this would have been an option for me... but I doubt I have EVER had a low BMI!) Great job

FIrst of all, it looks like you are doing just GREAT with your weight loss. You are going to have to make it a point to not have that stuff in your house if you are too tempted to eat it. I can not have any junk in my house or I would be doing the same thing. Get those Cookies out, and don't tell me so and so shouldn't suffer without them, because cookies aren't healthy for anyone. You can do this, you just have to put it in your mind too. Excellent that you are working out too!!! You are SO close to Goal!!! THROW THE JUNK OUT!!!

Someone.... no names mentioned made a great point that there are people offended by religion... It irks me to see all the religion posts... but I have NEVER complained about it nor suggested another thread. (until now obviously) To an atheist or someone who doesn't believe in God... these suggestions of prayers are surely very offensive??? Do they need to restrain themselves as us that like to talk about sex need to??? Just a thought....

I completely understand why you chose him then... I chose my Dr. for the same reasons... About 10 of us here at work have had bypass or lap band by my Dr. Sounds like you are headed in the right direction, meaning that you know it is a lifestyle change. Keep us posted!!!

I didn't realize we had anyone on here that was under 18? I could be a butt and say that if they are under 18, it is their parents responsibility to monitor what they do online But I won't say that! (my mom NEVER let me online unless she was right there with me, I never got to see the dirty stuff when I was little) (which is a good thing)

It seems like if you see something you don't like, you should get out of that thread. There are several threads that I do not agree with or like, so I just stay out. I think most of us try to start non band related threads in the LBT Lounge section. Pretty easy to stay out of there if you don't want to see things.
