Newbie

I have already had my consultation with Dr. Spiegel and waiting for insurance approval. I have United Healthcare and am very anxious to get this done. I have tried everything to lose weight. When I went to see Dr. Spiegel on 2/7/06 my BMI was 38 so I am hoping I won't have too much of a struggle especially since during my pregnancy I had gestational diabetes.

I am married and have 1 child, Carson 19 months. I want to have another baby but want to be in better shape,Healthwise.:nervous

I choose Dr. Spiegel because there are at least 10 girls in my office that have had the lapband done. I haven't heard any complaints and they all seem to be generally happy with their decision. There are a few who are actually following instructions and seem to be doing great with their weight loss.:clap2: Then again there are a few who decided not to work the program afterward and haven't gotten any fills and eat whatever they want.;) I am very excited!

:)

I completely understand why you chose him then... I chose my Dr. for the same reasons... About 10 of us here at work have had bypass or lap band by my Dr.

Sounds like you are headed in the right direction, meaning that you know it is a lifestyle change.
