  1. Shrina, what a fantastic story. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SUCCESS! This post really meant alot to me because i'm struggling with the fear that I will go through the blues. It's so good to know that it happens and it passes. Not so worried now for friday to get here. Thank you.
  2. Yuck! I'm sorry to hear that. Chicken salad sounds really good right now LOL!
  3. I am so glad you're back. You've been on my mind alot. Keep taking your liquids and STAY POSITIVE! 8k is FANTASTIC and it will only get better.
  4. I too think you have an excellent case for an appeal, stay positive!
  5. Thank you guys so much, you are all so encouraging. Today I got to my computer and jumped on the board only to have read an personal message telling me to rethink my decision and not to do it if i was not committed. I really appreciate all the kind words, I needed them this afternoon. And I have done great all day long. You guys are amazing! Thank you...thank you...thank you...
  6. I'll be thinking of you!
  7. Good luck and congratulations! This board is a great resource to have! Let us know how everything works out with you.
  8. Spyder you're right, thank you for the advice. Thanks Shari for the list and everyone else for the encouragement. I am going to do this the right way today.
  9. You are all fantastic, thank you so much. The more I read the less nervous I become. Goodluck on your surgery starrlighter! Let us know how everything turns out! Jini
  10. This is so good to hear and it is reassuring. I think I just have to expect it and realize it is coming and work hard to keep everything in perspective (perhaps a list of why i want to get this done is in order...). It's just frightening because I have never had surgery and here I am opting for this life changing (for the better) procedure.
  11. Laura, that is SO GOOD TO KNOW! I have only had a chicken sandwinch today. So that could count as my 1 small meal. I was/am so worried. I think alot of it is simply nerves but still...THANK YOU FOR THAT
  12. See my doctors packet told me it was to shrink my liver. My doctor when i expressed to him how hard this was going to be basically said "it is to speed up your weight loss". Could it be because I am only 212 lbs that it's not VITAL and I haven't completely screwed up with the chicken sandwinch?
  13. That is awesome! Congratulations, i'm getting banded on Friday and hope to have that luck!
  14. Thanks guys...i'll do better, i went and got out of the house so I would not eat anything else and that helped. I just need to keep my mind off of it, because i suddenly get nervous about doing this and wonder if it will all be worth it, and I know the answer to that already.
  15. I HATE soup, absolutely 100% hate it so I had a chicken sandwinch (Applebees weight watcher one )today...surgery is on Friday. Before I tell myself that I would lose just as much weight if I gave my body something to munch on, or that I will not be able to eat it again and so that somehow justifies me eating it now and after I eat I regret it immediatly...and then that passes. I can't even adhear to the pre-op diet, what's life going to be like after surgery. *UGH*
  16. I'm scheduled for Friday and kind of freaking out. I'm so scared, it's like what if i regret it, what if i get depressed, what if i never feel healthy again. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I hate this feeling.
  17. I'm worried, i've heard alot about people getting depressed after surgery or regret that they have gotten the band and all of that. How common is that? How common are mood swings and what not? I'm nervous, my biggest fear right now is regret... My second biggest fear is going back to work and my attitude affecting my job. I teach 1st grade and so pissy is not really an option for me. *Gasp* Help.
  18. Hey i'm in the same boat. My date is friday...nervousness is expected or so i'm told
  19. Congratulations! That is great! And comforting to know at the same time. I'm going in Friday (aaahhhh!)
  20. No protien...that's crazy because i was told I could have protien and I started gagging down ISOPURE...HELP is protien a yes or a no on preop.
  21. Today was insane. I suspected for awhile that my friends might know that I was going to get this done, but I didn't tell them or even hint at it in anyway. They just kept on saying things that clued me in. Well today she finally told me that they knew that I was getting this done. I was MORTIFIED, and scared. I live for her approval almost, she means the world to me. But she was SO GREAT. She told me that she wished that I wouldn't but she supported me know matter what I chose to do. She even went shopping with me on my preop diet and offered to take off of work to be with me the day of surgery. And her boyfriend, my other friend said that he wouldn't hate me if I got this done and that means alot to me also. He was great, he's really into biking and told me that i should go and he would help me also and we did and i rode about 8 or 9 miles around the lake(almost died but it was fun)! Well I just had to post it, it made me feel really good to know that they would love me no matter what. Yay for good friends, and an awesome support board!
  22. Margo, that is AWESOME! CONGRATS ON YOUR NSV!
  23. Goodluck! I'm right behind you on Friday, so come back and tell us all how everything worked out!
