~.~Accountability~.~ for those of us really struggling
OH! Wow you really did mean buckets! YUCK! Why not take half out and work on that half in the living room (if feasible) so it doesn't seem so overwhelming. I can't wait to see the after pics also remember it's not all or nothing.

Hadda Nsv

~.~Accountability~.~ for those of us really struggling
DeeDee and With the band, how are you guys doing today? Glad you jumped in on this with us. Lisa! You can do this you can do it. Think about how good you will feel once you get it done. Figure out a way to reward yourself once it is done, hey if you'd pay 500.00 why not take 20 and go get your nails done, or 100 and go to a spa tomorrow. The papers won't disappear, tomorrow won't be a better day to do them. You committed yourself for a reason and from reading your posts I can tell you are the kind of person who follows through. DO NOT GIVE UP. Sounds like your doing great with everything else. Idea, why not set your timer for 20 minutes go in there and work until the timer goes off and then stop. That way you've done your paperwork and a chunk of it will be gone.

WoW! MaudeisPam that is AWESOME and encouraging. Keep up the great work! I'm still working on my water and have yet to do the stairs but i'll get it done after dinner (to redirect my thoughts away from desert) and onto excersize.

~.~Accountability~.~ for those of us really struggling
Ooh this is getting good guys! And makes me want to up my daily goal. Today I will... 1. Drink 6 (16.9 oz) bottles of Water 2. Not eat after 7 o'clock 3. Do my stairs (intentionally) 5 times up and down today (I live on the third floor) DeLarla, what kind of dogs do you have? Could you be more specific about buckets of paperwork? Like how many stacks will you be working on? Or you will be consitantly working for how long? Celest, your treadmill goal motivated me to do the stairs, thanks! Ooh or we could do the movie thing? What are we going to watch?

~.~Accountability~.~ for those of us really struggling

~.~Accountability~.~ for those of us really struggling
If you have read my posts you will see that I have been having a REALLY hard time doing anything regarding weight loss. The fact is I realize...okay I think i realized it before, but am ready to admit that I was sabatoging myself on purpose. I was not even TRYING to loose weight. So here is my idea. I need some accountability. If enough people are interested we can start this thread by coming on here and posting one or two goals for your day. Something that you can accomplish within on day. Then at the end of the day come back and report if you have succeeded and cheer on the ones who have and be here for the ones who didn't. MY GOALS FOR TODAY: 1. I will drink 8 bottles of Water today. 2. Clean out my closet (not weight related but a goal for the day nonetheless)

Why restriction?
Think of it like you're tying a string around your tooth, it can go around there just fine without doing anything but once you pull on it it tightens up. It's kinda like the same thing, the band doesn't change your stomach until you get a fill that makes it squeeze. I think anyway
- Numb?
-
After a fill do you feel restriction right away or after the swelling goes down
I can't figure it out. I know it's different for everyone but the doc puts you on liquids because of swelling (or did me anyway). Are you supposed to feel restriction with swelling or does the swelling somehow block the restriction?

Complusive Overeater!
I am right there with you. I have cheated and felt really low and then cheated again. I am not proud of myself but i have yet to control it. See post "I completely utterly blew it" in support if you are ever thinking you are alone.
-
I completely utterly absolutely blew it
Your positives are awesome though! Excersize and water are so important, and tomorrow is a brand-new day; but it's like i've had SO MANY of those already so whats the difference. I know that i'm just in a really bad place right now though a bad attitude and I somehow need to change it. It's nice to know i'm not alone though. I needed it tonight.

lingo help please
Productive Burp...not vomitting but the food did not go down. There is a whole list of abbreviations on the board, i'll look for it and post the link

I completely utterly absolutely blew it
Why does food have such a hold on me? As hard as I have tried I cannot figure it out. I have come to realize that it is an addiction, a VERY STRONG addiction that I cannot overcome as hard as I try. So I went in for my second fill yesterday, was told to have liquids for a few days ect ect. Yeah that worked for one day, today I went out to eat with some friends and ate more than I NORMALLY would have without the band. It wasn't even healthy choices and it sure wasn't liquids...and as I ate it I even thought to myself "ya know this isn't even that good, why am I cheating with this" but I kept eating...and eating...and eating. I HATE IT! I can start off with the best of intentions in the morning and by the time the evening hits those are shot to hell. I tell myself i'll do better tomorrow, or that I will only have water and a protein shake tomorrow but deep down I know that I'll mess that up too. It's funny i'm usually all upbeat, happy go lucky, ms positivity but right now all that's gone and it's a horrible feeling, one that I have not had to this degree before. I am so dissapointed, angry and scared at any damage that I could have done, at myself.

Hello Diane glad your here

What do you do to satisfy your "head hunger"?
Haha! Good idea, on both accounts.

What do you do to satisfy your "head hunger"?
I know that the best advice is to do something to occupy yourself, so when you get in "munchie mode" when your not hungry what do you do?
-
How long does your Dr. have you wait between fills
In the instance that you feel no restriction.

Nervous...Stomach is sick
Last night i started feeling ill, so i took it easy and went to lay down. I did but a few hours later I woke up with the chills. I took a hot bath and ended up feeling sick, I coughed a few times but nothing ever came up but then I felt better and went to sleep. Today I still have that sick feeling, could this have somethign to do with the band or do i just have a stomach bug?
