It's normal to get nervous, you will do great. It's different but nothing life shattering. You will get in the hang of it quick.

I am going to Hell....
Thank you for posting this, I really was beating myself up for eating some m &ms last night. It was defiantly a emotional choice for me, but I have been acting like it was the end of the world all day. Moving on!!!

Coming up on some MAJOR GOALS! How to treat?
I don't have much $$ to reward myself but if I meet the Easter challenge I am going to get my nails done it's only $15 but I like it. I like the idea of small goals and to reward myself as I go along. Part of my journey is to be able to put myself first when it comes to my health and fitness so I'm going to be thinking of some non-food rewards.

Is your gut playing with your mind or vice versa?
This is great and does explain the roller coaster our emotions go on. Thanks for sharing.

Age is but a number......
I would support my child. I think if he was willing to put in the work and go into this with his eyes open it would be a blessing. Sounds like you have a level head on your shoulders.

Friday NSV Thread
My stall broke, I avoided the bakery today when things went very bad and then turned around. Last Saturday night 4 friends from highschool ask me to go eat, I first turned them down and then decided at the last minute what the heck and went. I didn't eat but drank Water and had a great time.

Do I Get Voted Off the Forums if.....
Sounds like you have a great start, I don't think anybody's going to kick you off. It's a personal choice, I had the same thought right before surgery but decided to stay the path. I needed the check and balance system to be successful. Today of all days it's a good thing, because without it I would be hitting the new bakery in town. Day started off BAD...I refused to get down and it has improved. I wanted Carrot Cake to buffer my sorrow and then again to Celebrate. It's veggies right? lol

Stall at 9 days out
I know it's scary, try to keep your hands busy and do yourself a favor don't weigh everyday. It's not easy but it will drive you crazy. Anytime we stall in my opinion it brings back the memories of failure from the past. Somehow we are going to be different and this did not work. We have a tool now that will keep us moving forward we just have to be patient. It's a wild and crazy road we are on, I stalled for 3 weeks, but I was still losing inches. Get yourself in a routine and focus on just working your plan. This is your future, live it to the fullest.

Introducing myself...
Welcome on this journey, its not easy but its well worth it.

Tired of "embracing the stall !"
I just came off a stall and can say at a certain point I was embracing that stall so tight I may or may not have been strangling it. I still loss inches. It brings back those old feels of failure, at least in my mind. Now I don't have a choice but to weigh everyday because of my heart, I only count my weight as loss or gained on Mondays. I think you will hear it over and over unless you have to, do not weigh but at the most once a week.

Dec sleevers?
Finally broke my stall, I'm doing ok. I eat sugar free Jello and pudding once a day, beef Jerky (natural), and meat. I'm not allowed any grains etc. I'm not going to lie, I am a bit bored.

Anyone with strict protein only diet?
Every Dr. is different in what they want. Mine is Water and Protein first then anything else, but I can have other things. Right now though protein is about all that will fit.
-
Low potassium
I take potassium twice a day. I would call you dr and let them know, there are many options to try.

Me before weight loss surgery
Good luck and kick bootie!!!!

mHealth anyone?
I also had a three month waiting period. I used the time to go to group, work on my low carb diet and prepare mentally as well as physically. I found it went by fairly fast but now I wouldn't trade that time for the world. Remember either way this is a marathon not a sprint.

I feel top young for this
You are normal, everything you are going through is normal. I wish oh how I wish I had this opportunity at your age or even 10 years ago. You will have so many more memories with your child and more for yourself. It's not an easy process as you have found out and you will earn every pound, there is no shame in that!!
