Self doubt
Pre-op is really tough, remember your doing all the work without the main tool. Being scared is totally normal.

Ramblings about goal weight...
I also have a hard time with a number. I lost weight before my son was born and the doctor wanted me at 135, I got there but could only maintain it by not eating. So the only place I have put a goal is on here, I chose it kinda random. I took this journey to feel better and be able to attend my son's senior football games, hes in the band. My heart and heart meds do not take the heat well, so I suffered major sweating that ended up making me sick. Technically I have made that goal, I am actually looking forward to not living a vampire like existence this summer. I can tell you more of my Not goals. 1) I do not want to gain weight. 2) I do not want to look like a stick or sickly. 3) I do not want to be so consumed with weight or food I do not have fun. 4) I do not want to be weak. 5) I do not want to fail myself or my friends and family. 150 if that is where I feel good, then so be it, but it's just a number.

First movie post surgery
My poor kid is the oldest of his friends so I finally said "lets go" because he wanted to see deadpool. He's 17 and I was not worried about him seeing it, but it is NOT a kids movie. Just going to say I have finally found my favorite super hero. I decided I could have a little popcorn, no butter. I have been craving it and haven't allowed myself. I have officially found my slider food. I honestly don't know how much I really had and I'm ashamed I did not stop at the approx 1 cup I had promised myself. I never really felt overly full and literally had to make my son move it out of my reach. I'm not beating myself up or going to dwell, just live and learn.

Is it normal..
Until I started losing I could not picture a goal. In fact here is the only goal I have verbalized or typed. Many moons ago I lost weight and the dr said my ideal number was 135. I am 5'5'" and to stay at that weight I literally was not able to eat. I chose 150 just because I felt that sounded comfortable. I try to concentrate on smaller goals, instead of that one.

What do you know now that you wish you knew prior to surgery
I wish I would have not stocked up on too much broth, yogurt, etc before surgery. Get enough for a week, but realize your taste buds change.

Buying Bras Post Surgery
My sister drug me into Lane Bryant and literally purchased me one. Nothing has ever pointed the correct direction and they don't make A cups big enough around. I just hate to spend money like you on something I won't be in long. We lucked out and they had my size in a B cup and my first under wire in 20 years. I only wear it when I go out of the house to keep it nice and am saving for new ones. I will admit, I look pretty darn good in it. Lesson learned.

Freaking Out...... Maybe I just won't get sleeved
It's scary, I think everyone will tell you they had these feelings etc. I'm so sorry for those who have lost love ones. These decisions are never easy.

More critical of facial features after WLS?
There is always something you will find to criticize your appearance with, fix one thing you will find another. I have found that to be true, more so now than ever.

Would you move where has someone died?
There is a reason your drawn to this place and I wouldn't give up on it over a death. Even If you live in new construction there is a chance of a death on the land it is what it is.

What Y'all Think- VI
I told close friends and family. If someone comments on my weight loss, I say "I am trying very hard", if they ask more I do tell them about my sleeve and my change of eating habits. I live in a small town so it is what it is. I don't get many negative comments, I think because people know my sisters, friends and mother will pounce. lol

swimsuits that cover loose skin?
Amazon has lots of options as well. I have been searching, I like board shorts and wear a sports bra type top under rashguard t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, or tank top. It all depends on the sun exposure. I am excited they are coming out with more woman's shorts options. Not a skirt type girl but nothing one piece fits properly anyway. The rashguard swim shirts are so nice because unlike cotton they don't weigh you down. The only issue, I'm having right now is finding the sports bra type top to go under it all. I prefer something that can un hook instead of going over my head due to an old softball arm. Let's say I have not been blessed enough to fit into the ones I have found. Last years, is not an option. It's a good problem to have.
