  1. Is swallowing gum reslly that big of a problem among adults?
  2. Why would gum not be ok?
  3. Some people need to do two weeks. You can do two days
  4. we are having a bbq today. We are grilling sausages and chicken and meat skewers. I plan on having a bite or two of everything
  5. well it depend on how far out you are. I eat pizza. I can eat maybe 3/4 of a slice but it is very satisfying
  6. you just had MAJOR surgery, you have to give yourself time to heal
  7. Actually the OP stated she is finally getting enough fluids by "living on strawberry and tangerine outshine no sugar added popscicles". Since 1 1/2 ounces barely makes a dent in the 64oz we should be getting I'm assuming she's eating a LOT of them. "living on" something is generally an expression. It doesn't necessarily mean she's eating a dozen of them a day. I was "living on" popcicles too and I was eating two a day.
  8. Your support is right here *hug*
  9. I am 8 months post op and still having a shale for breakfast most days. That's just my choice. It helps me get in my protein and i can sip it while driving to work
  10. If you want beer then have some beer once you are healed up inside
  11. This is not correct. The sleeve if done properly cannot stretch. I forget the name of it but the stretchy part of your stomach is removed
  12. what i have discovered 8 months post op was that the food funerals were unnecessary. I have not had to give anything up. I still eat the same foods I did before just less. I still go out to restaurants and actually enjoy it more. The only thing I gave up was buffets, but I have been to a good sushi buffet twice since surgery and was able to enjoy it. Personally I don't consider any food "forbidden" I just eat small amounts. I eat ice cream if I want, bread, pasta, again, just in small amounts
  13. that sounds like a lot of fluid for being immediatelyl post op. Don't worry about meeting your goals just yet, just get in what you can for now
  14. Wow, that's not much. You'd need to eat 45 of them / day to meet Fluid goals and that would also be 1125 calories of just carbs, no Protein whatsoever. I actually made my own popscicles by freezing protein drinks in silicone molds. Two birds with one stone.....fluids and protein (and no carbs) people aren't eating them to meet their fluid goals, just as a sweet treat.
  15. It is for some people
  16. I actually hate the summer. I prefer the winter
  17. well this is my first summer being single, and I feel awkward going to things by myself. So I'm going to be spending a lot of time at home in the pool
  18. I wait for a coupon and go to Vitamin Shoppe. Amazon often has good prices. Or Costco
  19. probably not a good idea to drink 8 oz while you eat. Follow your doctor's instructions
  20. I don't think HOW someone looses weight is anyone else's business. The important thing is that you lost weight. Having surgery has been the best decision I have ever made and I am very thankful for it, so why go telling people who might say something negatve about it so far only one person has actually asked me HOW I lost weight and I answered that I am eating less, which is not a lie at all
  21. for me the best benefit was feeling better about myself which led me to leave a toxic marriage.
  22. i am eating a pineapple one while I type this! they have the oz printed on the box
  23. you don't really need that much post surgery for the first few weeks.
  24. While you're eating?
