Road King

Yes, how could you tell. My husband and I both ride harleys. We love it. I ride a Blue custom Road King. Can't wait till I get this wait off so I can even look better on my bike. I know what you mean about being excited, I know I was, but I am also glad to be on the other side. Still on my Optifast diet. Wednesday I will get to eat mushies. Can't wait. Dianne

Hi everyone. I made it. Surgery went great. Today is my first day back to work. I was planing on coming back last Monday, but I was not up to it, Decided to just take it easy until I was not pushing myself. Dr Kim is wonderful. The staff at the surgery center were great, could not have asked for anything better. My surgery was at 9:00 and I was home by 2:00. I tried to walk a little every hour and I feel it helped my with the gas. I did take the pain medication for 4 days. Today I am doing just fine. I am still tender around my port. I have my follow up visit with Dr Kim this Wedneday. Feels good to have the surgery past me.

I rode a lowrider before I got my Road King. Was a nice bike. With being in Texas we do get to ride most of the year. Harley's are fun.

The surgery center called me yesterday afternoon. I am to scheduled for 9:00 surgery. I thank you again for your possitive feed back. Please keep in touch on how you are doing.

Great story. Patti, you should think about riding your own. I rode behind by husband for awhile, It was hard for the 2 of us to ride together, so I decided to get my own. I ride a Road King and love it. Dianne

I'm still on my 2 week pre-op with Optifast. No I have not cheated. There have been times I came very close, but I am happy to say I stuck with it. I am self pay and I guess I just want to make sure I do everything to the book.

I am on my 2 week pre-op optifast diet and my doctor wants 2 weeks optifast after the surgery. Yesterday durning the football games my mind kept telling me to just have something, but I kept from cheating and stayed with the optifast. My surgery is Thursday, I sure hope the hunger will leave me for a little while after surgery. I never knew there were so many advertisments with food on TV before. Who said this was the easy way out? They are full of S......

Thanks so much for your reply. How are you doing after surgery. Much pain???. I have been doing fine with the Optifast diet, I'm not really hungry, but would love to chew something. But now that I know I only have 3 more days to go before surgery I'm fine. Dr Kim also told me to stay on Optifast for 2 weeks after surgery. I am schedule to go back to work the Monday after surgery, I have a desk job. What did you do??

I too have decided on TLC Edge. I'm also self pay. I had my appointment with Dr David Kim last Friday and I really did like him. He made me feel very much at ease. I am so glad to hear you used the same doctor and were satisfied with him. My surgery is on the 24th. I have not yet been told what time my surgery is going to be. They told me someone would call sometime Wed to let me know.

I know what you mean about the pre-op liquid diet. I am also on my 5th day. My surgery is the 24th. I am soooo hungry today. I am trying not to think about the number of day's I have left. I am self pay and do not want to do anything to postpone my surgery or cause complications. With the Optifast and water, I feel I am spending 1/2 my day in the bathroom.

I am only on my 5th day of my Pre-Op liquid diet. Still have 10 more days to go. I am soooooo hungry. I try to keep busy, but I can't seem to keep off this websit. I do have a question, for those that have already been banded. What suggestion can you give to help with the pain you had once you got home after surgery. I was wondering how long I would need to be off work. I also have a desk job. Sounds like you did ok with a week off. How long were you on the pre-op diet, they put me on for 2 weeks. Optifast.
