  1. I was sleeved also and I use desert plates ! I would use a saucer but the indentation in the middle for the cup bothers me. I must say smaller plates means less to wash!
  2. You will break it! Good luck!! I am desperate to hit the even 50lbs lost mark and am tempted to go liquid for a week or so to make the magic 50 !!
  3. Welcome and congratulations on you decision! Im about 6 weeks out and I can say that surgery is the best decision I have ever made!
  4. I realized that every night when I make dinner I make my dinner plate look "pretty" and well balanced. Tonight we had grilled chicken tenderloins and grilled carrots. I know I will not eat the carrots, I'm only 6 weeks out from surgery and will barely get through 3-4oz of my Protein much less veggies. Yet, every night I put a teaspoon of veggies on my plate to make it look like a "proper meal". Anyone else do this or am I the only crazy one? lol
  5. Good luck to all getting uber close to onderland! I am confident everyone will be there soon! Until then focus on how great it feels to just live in your new body! I know I'm thoroughly enjoying it!
  6. I think he might have meant preop As in right as they are rolling you into the operating room they will infuse antibiotics. It's done right before surgery because it helps reduce the risk of infection from the procedure.
  7. Thank you all! I'm still in shock !!! Way to go! I am about 20 lbs. behind you, but its within sight! Keep up the good work! pam You will be there before know it!
  8. Ok so I weighed this morning... Survey says.... 199.3 !!!
  9. You will be there right as I am!! Congrats!!!
  10. So as I approach Onderland I thought I would find some photos to compare. I took photos the first day I met my surgeon back in August, right before surgery February 10th and end of February as I shopped for a few new pieces of clothing. Unfortunately I took the pre op photos in underwear so oops! Had to find different photos! Realized I'm usually the photographer and don't have my photo taken. It should be noted I did my pre op liquid diet starting January 1, 2016 and surgery was Feburary 10th so please don't think I have lost everything since surgery. I also cut off my face in both photos but trust me I have lost a ton of weight in my face I am 5'3 Photo on left is August 2014 and I was 245lbs Photo on the right was February 27, 2016 and I was 206 lbs Not near goal yet but I feel it's already showing!
  11. See, another reminder that WW is evil! Lol 17 is nothing! It will be gone before you know it!
  12. I have noticed some of my shoes are getting too big..I was a perfect 40 (10US) Yesterday I tried on some of my partners shoes that were a 9 and they fit perfectly! Rut roh shaggy!!! For the shoes I really adore and were expensive I will use inserts like the little silicone pad for your heel to make them last. Unfortunately, my feet are still wide. [emoji849]
  13. Lol I so weigh naked , no jewelry, no glasses ! I even weigh before I shower because I have long hair and don't want to weigh my wet hair! Lol We shall take a peek when I get home and if not...tomorrow is my day! [emoji108]????
  14. I have never liked her...and especially after hearing about her views on child rearing and spanking. I must agree money can't buy class or intelligence [emoji4]
  15. So I have been so excited because I am super close to the elusive Onderland !!! But my body thinks it's funny! Case in point.... Saturday- 201 Sunday- 200.5 Monday- 200.3 Tuesday- 200.0 Lol it's really making me sweat it out! Come on Onderland! Anyone else sweating it out super close to an elusive weight ??
  16. This is a fabulous thread! January 1, 2016 I was 245lbs Sz 20 pants Shirts 2x Today I am 201lbs Sz 14 pants Shirts L Can't wait to continue dropping! I have a while to go before I reach goal weight!
  17. I just said hiatal hernia repair and nothing else. It's all about boundaries.
  18. You look great! Congratulations and I can totally relate to the bored eating. [emoji5]
  19. After staples are removed it's ok to put some soap on your hand and gently clean each incision in the shower. Small gentle circles.... If you want to put something on them after you shower I used Aquaphor on mine and they look great less than a month from surgery.
  20. If you ran a Protein drink through and ice cream maker it might work Ice cream had the consistency that it does and is scoop able because the ice crystals form slowly as its churned thus incorporating air and giving you the desired consistency. If you just toss it in the freezer you will just get a frozen block of ice. Yes, I have watched entirely too many episodes of Good Eats with Alton Brown
  21. The only I problem I ran into was the appointments being less than 30 days apart. Less than 30 doesn't count....more than 30 is fine.
  22. Oh and while in WA state, visit the San Juan islands! Bellingham, Anacortes etc....beautiful scenery, some great little places to stop along the way, wineries etc.....you need to do a travel blog!
