  1. My favorite sandals that I wore all the time before surgery are too big for me now. I know I've gone down at least a size.
  2. My doctor said he'd like to see me at 140lbs. This puts me right at the normal/over weight range. I'm shooting for 130 but would be happy at 135. These number sound a little crazy but after reaching 165lbs (today) those numbers seam realistic to me now. My BMI today is 30.2
  3. It literally has no nutritional value but I've had some once with no issues. We're about the same weeks post op.
  4. I found that things I loved, I don't care for anymore. This is the time when we discover food all over again. Have fun experiencing new flavors and trying different things.
  5. My bowels woke up around 7 days PO. It was all liquid. Walking will help wake them up and get things moving. Gas is a sign that they're returning. Just be careful you're getting to the "don't trust a fart" period Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. You can't drive while you're on pain meds. I took pain meds 1 week post op so 1 week for her to help you would be sufficient.
  7. I was sleeved Jan 12th and I still have no appetite. I have a shake in the morning and one at night to make sure I get my protein in. I "snack" on proteins throughout the day. (Eggs, cheese ex)
  8. I am also curious to know the answer to this question. I am not there yet but trying to prepare. I'm going in on April 21st. And I liked the idea of baby food during that stage also. You can have Stage 1-2 .. You may not like the taste though.
  9. I'm losing 1-2 lbs a week. Sometimes slower. I've lost a good bit of weight and I am happy as can be. Do I wish I would lose it faster..who doesn't but I can't complain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I hope that the NUT and Dr documented his admission. If any complication arise from him going against Drs orders they will be on him. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. 1 week is all I could handle. The dr said I should crush them for 1 month but the taste was unbearable. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. One that I loved. Add 1 tbs pb2 mixed with a chocolate premiere Rtd shake... Chocolate peanut butter [emoji7]. I also add 1/2 of a banana sometimes then mix it in my ninja.

  17. My NSV.. My husband goes with me to the gym. He does a lot of free weight exercises laying down on a weight bench. The first time I went months ago I had to roll off the side of the bench. After that embarrassing episode he has helped me get up. Today I was able sit up on my own!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. I would contact your insurance's pre certification department and ask what your specific guidelines are. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I was so happy to go to the "normal" size section and buy a regular sized dress for Easter... At Jc penny's!! First dress I have purchased in about 10 years. When I'm at goal I can't wait to share clothes with my daughter lol I'm shopping in her closest haha Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. My husband is a fit junk food junkie.. The only vegetables he will eat are corn & potatoes.. Pre op we basically ate the same thing Post op:: I cook the main meat of the meal for all of us. My healthy sides mixed with his not so healthy choices. The thing is, I usually don't get much of the sides in after eating the meat.
  21. My nut told me not to lose too much during my 6 month supervised diet. (Not to fall below bmi 35) I lost 5-7 lbs during that time. The other thing was I couldn't gain more than 5lbs either so it was more of a maintaining period. Once I was approved all bets were off. I lost 10lbs on the 2 week pre-op diet. I have a slew of co-morbidities
  22. I'm Drinking chick fil a diet lemonade right now... Got a gallon for Easter dinner. [emoji7]. The only time I have issues is when I take too big of a drink or drink too fast. (11 weeks post op tomorrow)
  23. @@darima77 I'm about 11 weeks out. Eating out at restaurants is a little tricky. I tend to stay with shrimp, chicken or beef. I can't eat a lot so most of the time I take a lot home. No Pasta, Soups or salads. Always stick with a Protein. I check the appetizers and kids meals first. If there isn't anything that fits my plan I order from the regular menu. Some restaurants let you share a plate either for free or a small charge. I have had some popcorn with no issues. It was only 20 cal for 1 cup so I didn't feel like I was cheating. (No added butter) I have had cashews and peanuts with no issues. Almonds didn't settle to well the time I tried them. I will try again. Be sure to chew like crazy
  24. Chick fil a grilled chicken breast, without the bun. I can only eat about 1/4 of it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
