I made corn souffle at Thanksgiving that everyone loves and was able to eat a few bites too. Super easy and travels well.

Your strategy is the exact opposite of what I was thinking, so I took a little while to wrap my brain around it!
I was thinking of things I could take, that I knew I could eat. It never occurred to me to take something I WOULDN'T eat!

The mock Baked Potato casserole is great. It is ridiculously good, and travels well. Any search will give you varaties on the same recipe for it. Basically mashed cauliflower with cream cheese, bacon bits, and green onion or chives. Surprisingly good and most everyone loves it.
Deviled eggs. I put the boiled egg halves in a container, and the deviled egg yolk in a ziplock bag. Snip off a tiny end of the ziplock when ready and squeeze into the eggs when ready to prepare them. This one is a really easy prep!
Asparagus bundles grilled with a bacon wrap! Looks fancy too.
    Roasted Brussel Sprouts!

Casseroles travel really well. I sometimes wait until I get to my destination to pop things into the oven (this is a great option if you can do it). Shepard's pie travels well as do parsnip mash. Spinach and artichoke dip can be served warn or cold. It reheats easily in a microwave. Buffalo chicken dip also travels well and is easy to reheat in a microwave.
    Hope this helps.

    hi
    i am not a cook/baker et al
if i put 4 pots of Water on stove
"usually" i will be successful that they won't burn LOL
i asked my sister to bring her "famous" artichoke" dip on thanksgiving
the reason i asked her to bring it
is because i wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole (yeach)
i bring things to gatherings that i hate!!
that way i'm not tempted to eat any of it
sorry i don't have any healthy suggestion to give you
maybe you can buy something you don't like too
(can be hard to do, since i like everything LOL)
same thing for halloween (hard to find candy i don't like) !!!!
glad you did well with thanksgiving
    pat yourself on the back
stay strong for the holiday season
it is hard for many (me) people
i know you can do it!!

I've been banded for nearly 2 1/2 years and I'm thrilled to say I'm maintaining my weight loss, I do so with a 5-7lbs flex on the scale but I've learned not to freak out about it like I used to, but after 3 weekends in a row of birthday celebrations I just feel like crap. I notice I'm craving things I normally don't and when I walk away from the cravings instead of feeling victorious I feel miserable because I have that feeling of deprivation so I decided today was the day to tune and detox my body so I can fight the rearing head of the carb monster!
It's amazing how making the right and wrong food choices totally effects every aspect of your life!
So thankful I have this little tool to help guide me through moments like this! A few days of bringing myself back to basics is just what I need!!!! Reeling myself back in so to speak:-)
Has anyone else tried this? Did you notice the carb cravings diminish?

I think its being missed that I mentioned that I talked to my surgeon's assistant already...
I have never been and hope to never be seditary - I am a very mobile person - I work out twice a week as I have since before my band was unfilled - I continue to do so because I don't want to gain any weight back as a result of my band being unfilled and having no restriction. It was due to my no filter for when it came to eating regardless of whether it was good for me or bad - I had no oh I'm full lets stop eating until I had the band put in. and now that it unfilled I am very scared that I will regain what I lost with it, so I continue to work out to keep that from happening before my surgery.
Thanks y'all for your concern - but don't worry... I did and will continue to talk to my team about my concerns when I get freaked out like I did in my original post on here.

    Greetings all...
In Australia, November 25 is White Ribbon Day.
This is a day to draw attention to Australia's campaign to prevent men's violence against women.
    Unfortunately, this issue is global.
In my profile pic is a copy of the White Ribbon Day oath.
It's an oath I take every year.
And now, I'm imploring you to do likewise.
Take it for your own wives...
    Your daughters...
    Your sisters...
    Take it with your sons...
Take it privately or publicly, on the White Ribbon Day website (http://www.whiteribbon.org.au/day?gclid=CMyu5NmurMkCFZeWvQodG-gNDA) ...
    Please gents, take the oath..
    Women's safety is a men's issue.
    Stand up...
    Speak out...
    Please..
    Thank you for your time..

Done! I took the oath, for my Wife, my Daughter, and the millions of Women and Children subjected to horrible violence at the hands of cowards, Worldwide. (btw,to take the oath, you need a valid post code. A US Zip Code is not valid. I just googled and came up with 5806.)

Bingo on the erectile dysfunction @Oregondaisy. My second husband had issues and he was in his 40's. The two men I was semi-serious with while on the dating sites both had this issue. One of them is my steady guy now. I've learned to let it go. He can still make love..though it's not like he was a young man...and I'm OK with it because he is a very generous and thoughtful lover in other ways. He makes me feel good and satisfies me with things other than his penis. Most important...really...is that we enjoy each other's company. He rubs my feet when we sit and watch TV..he hold me in his arms at night, he's a companion with benefits. I'll take it any day of the week.
Don't look for the instant chemistry. See if you click when you talk. See if you are interested in him and what he says. I went back and forth for a while because I didn't have the 'hots' for my guy. But I didn't tell him to go away either because I really enjoyed his company. We are learning to be compatible physically but the companionship is what really counts in my mind. I know it's not for everyone but priorities change as you age and at 57, some things are not as important as when I was in my 20's and 30's.

@@Sophie74656 Ok... so my 2 cents for what it's worth.... which is 2 cents.... Bahahahaha..... If im getting this right, your husband and this "girl" were friends before and you came along and yall got married. YALL (you and he) got married. NOT the three of you. Your husband need to choose which female he is going to be loyal too.... you or her. Looks to me like he is choosing her over you already. My husband pulled a stunt on me like that ONCE... and when we got home i handed him his balls on a plate and said if you ever disrespect me like that again i will leave you right there.
Did they have a sexual relationship before? If not, i bet she wants one... I would tell your husband to have a conversation with her about her behavior... and if he doesn't.... then you should. Lay it all out on the table...
Just an FYI: the girl that my husband did this with was an ex GF.... and six months after i caught them texting and he refused to show me what she sent him.... My gut says... they were either hooking up or fixing too.
Just keep your eyes open and watch for the red flags.....

There is no "we" when it comes to post-wls surgery eating plans, unless you are talking to someone with the same surgery, same surgeon, and same dietitian as yours. My dietitian says net carbs are a lie that people tell themselves in order to feel better about eating crap. But what does yours say?

I doubt seriously anyone will be combing through such a long list.
I understand your anger and disappointment that your email address was shared but you really need to decide how much energy you want to devote to worrying that someone will see it.
