  1. Give yourself the time to adjust. It took me forever to not go directly to the "Plus" section when shopping in department stores. Then, when I would redirect myself to the "normal" section, I would feel as if people were thinking I should not be in that department. Just takes awhile. Just wait till you start wearing your skinny jeans everyday and start looking at that slimmer image in the mirror and know it's here to stay.
  2. You know you are a banster when...the holidays are here and you are not in a panic about how many pounds you will gain and that you can indulge in a "few" goodies and not worry about it! Merry Christmas!
  3. Is it an exercise ball?
  4. OK, Diva, let's revive this thread. Can we have another clue on this one? Anyone out there have a guess?
  5. Mine is Kashi Go Lean Crunch. I HAVE TO package it into one cup sizes when I bring it home from the market or I find myself eating away on it and not getting my other nutritional foods in (like protein).
  6. The fact that we found the end of the rainbow?
  7. Could it be a very red (orange) sunset?
  8. Is it an eruption from a volcano?
  9. Is it a photo of a fire?
  10. Could it be a daisy? A mum? A carnation?
  11. Looks so much like a flower...it couldn't be that simple, could it?
  12. Awww...you're so sneaky!
  13. What was the clue with the famous lady? Just doesn't ring a bell.
  14. Ok...I'll say just a piano
  15. Piano man? Could it be piano keys?
  16. Hey Diva....any more clues???????
  17. Scroll up to the top of the page and hit "Home". Once that page is up, scroll down to different groups. There's a teens and also a 20's group. Hoping you can pull yourself up soon and get back on track. Try something new for your workouts to get you interested again. Might help. Good luck.
  18. Dried roasted edamame and soynuts, beef jerky, SF jello with FF cool whip, melon, strawberrries, pickles, 100 cal pkg popcorn. Hope this helps!
  19. I could tell you not to panic or be fearful but I do remember that stage. Now 18 months out, this is just a way of life and I love it. Go into all of this with as much info as you can, do research, practice all the rules your doc recommends and you will be successful. It's work to stay on task at times but having lots of energy and not having your shopping cart automatically steer itself into the plus size section of a department store is such a wonderful trade-off!:rolleyes2:
  20. Thank you for the compliment. If you set your mind to it and make good, healthy food choices, with the band, you can do it too. Just go into with lots of knowledge, prepare yourself with following as many lap band rules you can prior to surgery and you will be on your way to a healthier you. I wake up every day so thankful that I don't hurt anywhere or ache anymore. I am thankful that I am on a dead run most of the day (I have a very physical job) and never have had a day in a very long time that I could say that I was tired. It's so worth it!:scared2:
  21. Do what you can to educate your DH on this. Take him to your seminar, doc appts., show him internet sites, etc. The more a person understands about the LB procedure, the better they are at accepting it. I, too, felt like you are feeling just a couple of years ago. My DH has been so supportive all along. He knew how miserable I was. I was approaching 250lbs....249 was my top weight. I could not walk any distance without getting winded, exercise was out, I had more or less given up. I had been researching the LB for quite some time b/4 getting up the nerve to do this. I can tell you that this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. :scared2:
  22. Could it possibly be the binding on a book?
  23. Is it a game peice from a board game?
  24. TV screen? IPod?
  25. Good goin' on that last one Samantha. And, Diva....thanks for the entertainment. Makes the work day a little less ho-hum.
